The FLIGHT DECK Leader will champion lean transformation, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and provide lean education, training, and support to the CTE organization.\nThis role will require up to 35% Travel.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nReporting to the Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader, DES, this role serves as coach, facilitator, and advocate to the DES organization, driving understanding and adoption of FLIGHT DECK. This will be accomplished through:\nPartnering with DES and CTE organizational leaders to prioritize and solve problems based on voice of the customer and voice of the process.\nImplementing and coaching the Daily Management process, including daily management meetings, genba walks, and Kata coaching cycles.\nChampioning kaizen and facilitating kaizen events to drive improvements.\nCoaching and developing team members at all levels to build lean skills, effective KPIs, action plans, problem solving, and operating cadences that drive sustainable results.\nDelivering step-change performance improvement through execution of Hoshin Kanri improvement priorities and action planning.\nWorking with colleagues to quickly deploy new, best-practice capability and processes.\nEmbracing lean, digital tools, and rigorous prioritization to drive continuous improvement and increase employee and customer satisfaction.\nSupporting the function to accelerate problem-solving application.\nSharing best practices across segments of GE Aerospace Defense & Systems.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college \nAt least 5 years’ experience applying Lean in a global, matrix organization\nDesired Characteristics and Experience:\n8+ years in business operations, with 5+ years in lean or operations leadership\nProven ability to achieve results using the Lean toolset\nExperience facilitating 5-day kaizen events end-to-end - preparation, coaching stakeholders on problem-statement framing, facilitating the session to identify opportunities and drive decision-making, assigning ownership, and managing follow-up\nLean practitioner capable of facilitating Value Stream and kaizen events and coaching core tools such as Daily Management, structured problem solving, and Standard Work; continuous improvement experience in both transactional and supply chain environments\nExperience delivering Hoshin Kanri (HK) breakthrough objectives.\nProven ability to drive outcomes in large, matrixed organizations - able to influence without direct authority\nExperience developing senior leadership communications and maturing executive operating cadences\nChange agent able to make the case for lean, demonstrate immediate impact, and drive adoption and maturity through change management\nDemonstrated bias for action, with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines\nHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn\nTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively\nFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed \nLeadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative\nProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker\nThe base pay range for this position is $163,300 - 217,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
