Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing\nRole Overview\nLead the Finite Element Analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and analysis tools/methods adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical engineering analysis on HPT/LPT/MSE components of GEnx, Catalyst, GE90/GP, RISE engine product lines.\nUtilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & analysis experience to execute on technically complex projects to meet analysis requirements and business goals with minimal oversight.\nLead & own projects/tasks to solve problems of medium to large complexity through collaboration.\nUse engineering judgement and experience to improve the state of art and the Mechanical Analysis process improvements.\nRecommend approach to meet the technical and program requirements.\nSupport formulation and implementation of plans to achieve technical requirements, schedule.\nShould network & establish strong connections with Commodity Controlled Title Holders (CTHs, Cross functions teams to achieve the desired outcomes).\nParticipate and Lead the organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks.\nParticipate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.\nFoster and inspire a collaborative work style and display team-oriented behavior with a proactive example of communication internally and externally.\nLeverage digital tools & analyze the data insights to drive appropriate actions.\nDevelop action plans to anticipate and respond to problems.\nSupport other personnel and assigned teams.\nAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.\nMonitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments.\nRequired Qualifications & Experience:\nPhD / MTech / MS / BE from an accredited university or college in Mechanical, Aerospace, or closely related field of Engineering.\n4+ years of experience in a relevant engineering role with mechanical design and analysis of gas turbine components.\nIn-depth understanding of mechanical design fundamentals.\nIn-depth understanding & use of Finite Element Methods tools.\nExcellent communication and presentation skills.\nDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams.\nDemonstrated Project Management skills.\nDesired Characteristics\nDeep understanding of advanced modeling and finite element analysis tools like NX, ANSYS, Hypermesh.\nStrong interpersonal skills.\nProduct knowledge about Aircraft engines or Gas turbine\nPrior experience of solving problems through design trade studies and optimization\nAwareness of Lean/Six-sigma methodologies\nHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn\nTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively\nFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed \nLeadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative\nProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker.\nAbout us:\nGE is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
