Self-directed judgment and drive will be required.Job Description\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform related tasks for Tollgate, MRL & PRR NPI development.\nPlan, support and execute APQP requirements\nCreate, propose & control cost (budgets)\nDefine and control production processes including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment during trials, etc\nImprove all aspects of Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost\nLead improvements from concept to completion & assure sustainment\nDrive & lead/cycle time improvements\nLead & support Low Rate and Full Rate Production\nDesign & implement necessary equipment, tooling & fixtures for manufacturing development and process improvements\nCreate, maintain & adhere to schedules to achieve business metrics/targets\nApply in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline\nParticipate & Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action activity related to concerns that arise during the manufacturing process\nListen to the voice on the floor, understand the problem and implement effective countermeasures & assure sustainability\nDFM proposals to Design Engineering with supporting data, proposing solutions and see implemented\nManage projects related to manufacturing process enhancement\nHands on problem solving & investigation\nContinuous improvement mind set\nWork closely with shop floor personnel\nUse judgment and ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.\nMay use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions\nTo be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills.\nPerform root cause and corrective action of product & process failures and defects\nCollaborate with design engineering, operations, and quality to improve manufacturability and resolve issues\nLimited remote working conditions\nLimited travel (equipment run off, supplier visits)\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of manufacturing engineering experience)\nMinimum of 3 years of CNC machining/programming experience with Production Processes and Equipment\n Desired Characteristics\nBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience) in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical/Manufacturing Technology.\n7~10 years of CNC machining/programming experience with Production Processes and Equipment\nEquipment procurement/maturation experience (scope creation thru installation sustainment period)\nProven root cause & corrective action experience\nProven process improvement history\nCAD/CAM CNC programming experience\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nStrong interpersonal and demonstrated leadership skills\nAbility to document, plan and execute improvement activities\nAutomotive manufacturing experience\nCp/cpk/SPC experience\nData driven decision making\nHigh ownership skills with ability to work with limited supervision\nChallenge the status quo\nGrinding experience\nThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
