Not only will you work in a facility that has been awarded OSHAS’s highest safety rating, but you’ll be part of a diverse team of employees working together to impact the future of flight for generations.\nRole Overview\nThe Lead Manufacturing Engineer (1st Shift) will be responsible for the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, ensuring they meet our stringent safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role requires a strong background in manufacturing engineering, project management, and a deep understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nUtilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals\nDevelop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and related documentation\nDesign and build / procure necessary fixtures and tooling to manufacture electronic assemblies and products\nSupport assembly equipment upgrades from purchase through installation\nConduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to manufacturing processes and / or equipment\nAssist Production Supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action\nSupport EHS projects in cell\nDrive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements\nSupport the quality function through integration of ISO / QC documentation and manufacturing work instructions\nLead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in the Cell\nAttend weekly cross-functional quality sessions and track/drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for Cell issues\nLead New Technology Initiatives (NTI) and share best practices with other locations\nUtilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity defects and increased productivity in the Cell\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or a High School diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing / Production)\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in electronics assembly environments\nThis position requires U.S. citizenship status\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in running, supporting, troubleshooting, fixing, and resolving line issues with some of the following Circuit Card Assembly Cells: SMT Prep, Mag-Load, Fuji SMT, SPI, Reflow Ovens, Through Hole, Hand Assembly, Selective Solder, Wave Solder, Bonding, Conformal Coating, DePanel, Final Assembly, and Box load\nExperience in supporting and programming some of the following CCA assembly equipment: Glue Machine, Laser Etcher, SPI, Fuji AIMEX III SMT, AOI, Xray, AXI, Press Fit, Trace Cut, Aqueous Wash, Conformal Coating, PVA, Selective Solder, Wave Solder, and BGA Rework\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering\nAbility to read engineering drawings and specifications\nStrong mechanical design ability\nAbility to manage priorities and achieve results\nPrior exposure to and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing\nStrong Project Management skills\nStrong manufacturing process knowledge\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills\nThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
