In addition to career opportunities, our sites offer a culture focused on respect for people and giving back to the community through grants and philanthropic programming.\nRole Overview:\n- Ensure the execution of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives meet regulatory, customer and OEM requirements.\n- Receive engine-specific workscopes, special work orders, repair order, etc. from CTP, product engineering and / or customers, evaluate, and translate into enterprise tool. Convert incoming records for workscope applicability and configuration management.\n- Work on a global team to create, regularly review, and improve global routers in SAP/Oasis ERP system.\n- Partner with production and planning teams to coordinate workscopes, etc. to effectively complete engine repairs in the shop or at offsite locations throughout the world.\n- Initiate DRs/DICAs and follow through disposition. Engage Product Support Engineering and/or other resources to eliminate fleet issues.\n- Liaison across multiple departments include both the internal team and customers to ensure seamless service and work scope execution.\n- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and tasks. Ensure consistency with engineering policies and procedures, and customer requirements.\n- Monitor and communicate project status, business issues and significant developments.\n- Participate in problem-solving process to reach to a technical solution.\n- Understand appropriate Aircraft Maintenance Manual, Engine Shop Manual procedures.\n- Participation on a cross functional team as part of Kaizen type events.\nIn addition, the On-Wing Support Powerplant Engineer will:\n- Collaborate with cross functional and global teams to assure the engine meets or exceeds all requirements.\n- Be willing to speak up even if their opinion goes against the current practice\n- Show creativity in seeking solutions.\nRequired Qualifications\n- Degree in relevant Aviation Engineering desired but not essential.\n- Previous experience and knowledge of Aircraft Engine maintenance.\nDesired Characteristics\n- Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability are a must\n- Possess a desire to learn and grow with advances in technology\n- Experience in repair of commercial engines\n- Needs familiarization with both large and small commercial engines.\n- Green belt certified or willing to pursue\n- Familiar with SAP Oasis, AMM and IPC manuals desired\n- Experience working with a global team\nAt GE Aerospace, we have a relentless dedication to the future of safe and more sustainable flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen.
