In the role of Engineering Project Manager, you will ensure that the project stays within cost and schedule targets while supporting a product line approach.The location for this position is Grand Rapids, MI on at least a hybrid basis (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office) : An extensive corporate relocation package is also available for eligible candidates.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nDevelopment of various technologies through increasing levels of maturity. \nForming project teams.\nDevelop integrated schedules with cost and staffing demand.\nAuthor Statements of Work for supplier work (as needed).\nLead Engineering content for gate reviews (Tollgates).\nParticipate in fact-find meetings with customers.\nSupport / lead various management meetings and report up to Senior / Executive leadership.\nSupport / lead meetings with customers.\nDevelop / revise engineering project plans.\nManage scope, schedule, and cost changes within the project.\nMonitor and report project performance, including key metrics and variances.\nDevelop and execute risk management plans.\nAssist in mentoring junior EPMs.\nDemonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes.\nUtilize your experience or expertise to solve problems.\nDevelop and execute objectives for self and others.\nHave the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals.\nProvide timely communications on significant issues or development, maintaining a focus on safety and reliability.\nCommunicate with management on technical, organizational, resource, and personnel issues.\nRequired Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree in an engineering or technical field from an accredited college or university.\nMinimum of 10 years of engineering experience (Including project management or Program Management).\nThis position requires U.S. citizenship status.\nDesired Characteristics:\nPMP certification.\nExperience with systems, hardware and software design.\nWorking knowledge of ARP-4754A and DO-178B / C.\nKnowledge of ARINC 661, MIL-STD-1553, DO-254, MIL-STD-810.\nExperience building effective teams and managing projects.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skill.\nThe base pay range for this position is $130,000 - $173,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
