You will identify, lead and execute improvement opportunities that align with strategic objectives.Job Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nProvide direction and assistance to work group to meet assigned objectives\nWork within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning\nMake technical decisions by applications of specialized knowledge / skill\nInterface with customer organizations to assure requirements are met\nCommunicate status and problems to project leaders and management\nIdentify, lead, and implement cost-effective improvement projects to enhance safety, quality, reliability, and throughput\nAct as the liaison to multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, suppliers, and plant utilities teams regarding mechanical design and support of existing and new facilities, equipment, and components\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in design engineering or Associates degree in applicable field and 2 years of experience.\nMinimum of 2 years experience in Aerospace. \nDesired Characteristics\nA&P License\nFamiliarity with design, test, and analysis tools\nProfessional attitude and work ethic\nSelf-starter with a desire to achieve results\nAbility to design and conduct experiments, as well as analyze and interpret data\nFamiliar with design of machinery fundamentals, mechanical electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic-hydraulic systems\nManage development project expense budget, track spending and ensure spending targets are met\nAbility to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nStrong computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)\nStrong Project management skills\nProven team leadership skills and the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings\nKnowledge of component testing methods\nThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
