The role is intentionally structured as approximately 50% Salesforce development and 50% BigCommerce development, providing delivery continuity across the current commerce ecosystem while building reusable capability for the future-state commerce roadmap. The developer will translate business needs into secure, scalable technical solutions and work independently with general supervision in partnership with product, architecture, DevOps, quality engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.Position\nCommerce Platform DeveloperLocation\nIND, Bangalore, KAHyderabad (SAL) INHow You'll Create Possibilities\nSalesforce Development\nDesign, configure, develop, test, and deploy scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, and platform APIs.\nBuild reusable commerce components and integrations with enterprise and third-party systems.\nPerform impact analysis, technical design, unit testing, code review, deployment preparation, and production troubleshooting.\nApply secure coding, data protection, governance, and performance best practices.\nSupport GitHub- and Copado-enabled source control, CI/CD, release, and environment-management practices.\nBigCommerce Development\nDesign, develop, configure, and support BigCommerce storefront and platform capabilities using Stencil, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and relevant platform services.\nDeliver enhancements across catalog, customer, checkout, order, subscription, content, analytics, personalization, and integrations, as applicable.\nDiagnose storefront and integration issues, identify root causes, implement fixes, and improve reliability and performance.\nPartner with product owners, architects, UX, analytics, quality engineering, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into solutions.\nMaintain documentation, provide knowledge transfer, and contribute to production support and continuous improvement.\nWhat You'll Bring to Our Team\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS\nOwn assigned work from requirements clarification through design, build, test, release, and post-production validation.\nBalance roadmap delivery with production support, technical debt reduction, vulnerability remediation, and platform-stability needs.\nUse established standards for code quality, security, reusability, documentation, testing, and deployment.\nCollaborate in an Agile model and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions clearly.\nContribute to commerce modernization and migration, including capability reuse across brands and customer experiences.\nUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly while following company governance.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.\n2+ years of progressive software development experience in Salesforce, BigCommerce, or comparable enterprise commerce platforms.\nHands-on experience in at least one primary platform, with demonstrated ability and willingness to become productive in the other.\nProficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, API integrations, Git-based source control, debugging, and repeatable testing practices.\nExperience working in Agile teams and translating business requirements into maintainable technical solutions.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work independently with general supervision and deliver high-quality results.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nSalesforce development experience with Apex, LWC, Flow, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce APIs, and Salesforce Commerce capabilities.\nBigCommerce development experience with Stencil, storefront customization, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, checkout, catalog, orders, subscriptions, and integrations.\nExperience with Copado, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI/CD and DevOps tooling.\nExperience integrating commerce platforms with MuleSoft, Oracle ERP, payment, tax, shipping, analytics, or personalization services.\nExperience with Google Tag Manager, commerce analytics/data layers, performance optimization, and accessibility practices.\nSalesforce Platform Developer certification and/or BigCommerce technical certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise.\nExperience supporting production systems in a global, matrixed enterprise environment.\nHEALTH & SAFETY\nTake all practicable steps to ensure personal safety at work.\nEnsure actions or inactions do not cause harm to another person.\nFollow all safety instructions and report workplace hazards and incidents.\nOur Culture\nOur work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
