You'll oversee the end-to-end financial reporting processes, including preparing monthly and quarterly reports for Haier, the parent company. Your responsibilities will span across various tasks, including preparing US GAAP financial statements, performing month-end closing activities, and leading balance sheet reviews. Additionally, you'll manage a team, providing leadership, coaching, and support to ensure the smooth execution of financial reporting tasks. You'll also work closely with internal and external auditors, facilitating audit requests and supporting both external and internal audits.Position\nManager, Accounting, (Controllership)Location\nUSA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create Possibilities\nOwns and manages end-to-end financial reporting processes, including preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for submission to GE Appliances’ Parent, Haier.\nSupports the preparation of annual U.S. GAAP financial statements and related footnotes.\nOwns closing responsibilities for certain estimates and reserves, including evaluating various inputs and assumptions and preparing the monthly statement of cash flows.\nLeads quarterly balance sheet reviews with Finance teams, functional leaders, and legal entities.\nPerforms comprehensive balance sheet analysis, identifies process improvements, and drives simplification initiatives in collaboration with the CFO’s Staff and cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, transparency, consistency, and accountability.\nPartners with internal and external auditors to coordinate audit requests and support internal and external audit activities.\nManages and develops Controllership team members responsible for monthly close and financial reporting across key business line items, including treasury, intracompany, and intercompany activities with Haier affiliates, while providing leadership, coaching, and support to the broader team.\nWhat You'll Bring to Our Team\nEducational and Experiential Background\nMay require a university degree and/or technical certification, supplemented by a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, reflecting a combination of theoretical understanding and practical proficiency in the field.\nMust possess an active CPA license.\nPrior experience with US GAAP and SOX required.\nExperience with one of the “Big Four” Public Accounting firms strongly preferred.\nRequired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:\nLeadership & Talent Management: Applies foundationalmanagement skills to lead and support a team, including scheduling, prioritization, coaching, and ensuring adherence to financial and operational policies.
