The position will closely interact with sourced suppliers along with the GE Appliances technology, sourcing, quality, and commercial teams to understand all consumer queues in an effort to design and produce new and innovative products that lead the market. The use of skilled engineering analysis and judgment with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations in every way is paramount to position success.Position\nProgram Manager - Water ChillerLocation\nCHN, Shanghai, ShanghaiHow You'll Create Possibilities\nProgram Execution\nWork closely with product management team to initiate the product definition and technical specification.\nWork closely with cross-function team to initiate the product development plan and qualification plan.\nTrack the project progress according to work breakdown and ensure all tasks and milestones are completed on schedule.\nAct as a technical communication bridge between GEA team and supplier team to ensure the smooth implementation of the program and the on-schedule delivery of products. \nEnsure the timely, transparent and accurate information interaction between GEA team and supplier team.\nConsider problems from the perspectives of both parties and propose solutions.\nRisk management.\nTechnical Support\nReview the product design and test reports, provide professional technical opinion to achieve better performance, quality and cost.\nActively support the failure root cause analysis and corrective actions.\nProvide training and guidance of NPI process, Standard Instruction and Engineering Test Procedures to suppliers. \nAudit supplier’s laboratories and factories. \nFollow up and interpret the latest standard.\nEngineering Contribution\nContinuously contribute to patent\nProactively learn and apply AI tools to improve work efficiency \nWhat You'll Bring to Our Team\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent\n3 years experiences in Water Chiller product management, development, application, service or training. \nExcellent verbal & written English and communication skills.\nProactive problem solver comfortable with hands on work in laboratory or factory\nDemonstrated ability to work in a global environment.\nAdvanced computer skills - high proficiency in Microsoft products and ability to grasp new systems quickly.\nStrong project management and analytical/problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to scope and analyze cross-functional problems to generate/implement solutions.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent\nExperience of multiple HVAC products management or development. \nExperience of US Air Conditioner Market\nDeep understanding of UL and AHRI standard and US DOE regulation \nCertification of Lean or project management or AI skill\nWorking Conditions:\nWorking conditions are normal for an office environment.\nThis role requires regular meetings in the evening. \nThis role requires occasional weekends. \n10%-20% travel is expected including domestic and international.\n* Job Profile: Program / Project Manager (P2 or P3 China). * Primary Location: Shanghai (XiangeKe 2) CN or Qingdao (No.1 Haier Road)\nOur Culture\nOur work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
