The Senior Material Representative will support assigned buildings receiving inventory, verifying and reconciling for inventory accuracy. This role also provides direction to the dock drivers to consolidate parts, maintaining processes and reporting results.\nPosition\nSenior Materials Representative -Receiving Clerk, 2nd ShiftLocation\nUSA, Decatur, ALHow You'll Create Possibilities\nReceiving Inbound Material\nReceive inbound freight by validating the ASN with physical receipt quantity\nLoad necessary information into material management system, identify inaccuracies and escalate appropriately\nResponsible for identification and reconciliation of all receiving variances using problem solving skills\nConduct yard checks as necessary to ensure record accuracy of trailers on premises as reflected in Trackx\nAudit pick locations to ensure parts are available and in location for the materials drivers to pick for assembly lines\nResponsible for ensuring we are shipping the right returnable containers back to suppliers in a timely manner\nParticipates and is key contributor in annual physical inventory\nParticipate on AWOs and embrace lean manufacturing concepts in efforts to continuously improve materials work\nWhat You'll Bring to Our Team\nLeadership experience and/or technical acumen within supply chain (ie: manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, materials, quality, procurement, fulfillment or related functional area). \nHigh school diploma ; additional coursework or training in supply chain, logistics, inventory control, or materials management preferred.\nExperience in a high-volume manufacturing or appliance-production environment.\nPrevious experience in receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, or materials handling in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nExperience with inbound freight, advance shipping notices (ASNs), receiving documentation, and resolving quantity or shipment discrepancies.\nAbility to use computer-based inventory or material management systems; experience with TrackX or similar yard-management systems is a plus.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory, trailer, and receiving records.\nSkilled in identifying, investigating, documenting, and escalating receiving and inventory variances.\nAbility to communicate clearly and provide directions to dock drivers and other team members.\nKnowledge of safe material-handling practices and the ability to follow established procedures.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage changing priorities.\nBasic computer skills, including data entry and use of spreadsheets, email, and inventory systems.\nAbility to participate in physical inventory counts and audit pick locations.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methods preferred.\nAbility to meet the physical requirements of the role, which may include standing, walking, bending, and lifting materials within company safety guidelines.\nReliable attendance and commitment to teamwork, safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement\nWorking Conditions:\nWorking conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment. \nWork may involve lifting of materials and product up to 25 pounds. \nWorking in the manufacturing environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, work shoes/boots. \nOur Culture\nOur work is centered on our People and Culture as reflected in our Zero Distance philosophy and we recognize the importance of reaffirming our commitment to inclusion and diversity (I&D).
