The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, takes initiative, and is excited to contribute to a real product environment while continuing to develop their technical skills.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nAs a Software Engineering Intern, you will:\nCollaborate with a team of experienced engineers and develop your technical expertise.\nWrite clean, maintainable code that meets project requirements and coding standards.\nDevelop and maintainautomation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression testing.\nContribute to manual test creation, execution, and documentation.\nAssist in diagnosing and resolving software bugs.\nGain familiarity with GE HealthCare’s internal tools and development processes.\nHelp maintain high-quality project documentation.\nFollow guidance and mentorship from senior team members.\nTake ownership of a dedicated software component / UI widget and drive its development from design through implementation and testing.\nWork independently on well-defined development tasks whilecollaborating with technical mentors and the wider engineering team as needed.\nContribute to frontend and user interface development activities supporting Advanced Visualization products.\nQualifications / Requirements\nOngoing university studies in the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). As this internship requires a minimum 12-month commitment, a later expected graduation date (e.g., 2027 or beyond) will be considered an advantage.\nAvailability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week (up to 40 hours).\nProficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language.\nBasic experience with Windows and Linux/Unix environments.\nStrong attention to detail, especially regarding code quality, testability, maintainability, and documentation.\nResidency in Hungary.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.\nStrong team collaboration skills.\nInterest in healthcare technologies and advanced visualization.\nWillingness to work in a hybrid setup from GE HealthCare’s Váci Greens office (2 days/week onsite).\nAbility to work independently, take ownership of assigned tasks, and proactively drive progress with limited day-to-day supervision.\nComfort working in situations where requirements may initially be high-level and require clarification and
