The Image Quality Algorithm Engineer position distinguishes itself through a high emphasis on implementing and evaluating new product innovations and a strong focus on image/signal quality, system safety, and system calibration to drive significant design improvements in product architecture.Job Description\nResponsibilities\nWork with a broad cross-functional team \nWorking across functions and team boundaries to implement and optimize system level image quality and dose management features for new products and technology roadmaps\nUse broad technical expertise and experience to evaluate and tune complex designs focusing on the areas of image quality, calibration and dose management\nProviding domain expertise to own/lead technical design reviews, investigation of technical risks, as well as providing innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance \nDeveloping methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on system performance and image quality\nDeveloping requirements for key system performance parameters as they relate to image quality, system safety, performance and calibration \nDriving system tradeoff discussions within new product developments by having a full understanding of system architecture and interfaces \nInvestigating customer questions and complaints to provide technical answers and solutions \nProviding technical leadership for project execution \nImplementing and teaching engineering principles and standards \nDriving innovation for competitive technical differentiation \nMentoring junior engineers in area of expertise \nQualifications/Requirements\nBachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Medical Physics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field\nAbility to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems\nEffective communication skills - ability to present ideas clearly and concisely\nAbility to pursue tasks to completion\nDesired Characteristics\nPyTorch or TensorFlow/Keras understanding for machine learning training\n2 years relevant industrial or academic experience\n2D or 3D signal/image processing background in matlab or python\nCourse history in: calculus, linear algebra, data science and probability\nUnderstanding of X-ray physics, CT physics, CT imaging and image/signal processing fundamentals\nMaster’s Degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Medical Physics, Applied Mathematics or a closely related field\nDemonstrated record of innovation in technology development\nExperience with CT specific device operation and troubleshooting issues\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nExperience with research collaborations\nSelf-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task\nDemonstrated problem solving ability and results orientation\nDemonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed, and customer focused environment\nExcellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives\nOur total rewards are designed to unlock your ambition by giving you the boost and flexibility you need to turn your ideas into world-changing realities.
