Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.\ntex\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nProduct Verification & Validation\nExecute product-level verification and validation activities for handheld ultrasound systems.\nDevelop, maintain, and execute test plans, test procedures, and verification protocols.\nVerify system functionality against product and system requirements.\nDocument test execution, results, observations, and defects with complete traceability.\nReliability & Environmental Testing\nPlan and perform reliability qualification testing, including:Burn-in testing\nThermal testing\nLifecycle testing\nStress and endurance testing\nEnvironmental and transportation-related tests\n\nAnalyze test results and generate reliability reports.\nImage Quality Validation\nPerform ultrasound image quality testing using industry-standard phantoms.\nEvaluate image performance, consistency, and system behavior across operating modes.\nSupport image quality benchmarking and regression testing activities.\nTest Equipment & Fixtures\nDevelop, update, maintain, and troubleshoot test jigs, fixtures, and automated test setups.\nImprove test efficiency, repeatability, and coverage through fixture and process enhancements.\nBattery & Power Validation\nPerform battery characterization and validation activities, including:Scan-time testing\nRuntime verification\nBattery lifecycle and aging studies\nCharging and discharge performance testing\n\nGenerate detailed test reports and recommendations.\nDefect Investigation & Debug Support\nReproduce field, system, and verification issues reported by development teams or customers.\nCollect logs, test evidence, measurements, and observations to support root cause investigations.\nWork closely with hardware and software engineers to validate fixes and perform regression testing.\nConfiguration Management\nUpdate and maintain correct hardware, firmware, and embedded software revisions on test systems and probes.\nEnsure testing is performed on approved configurations and released software builds.\nRegulatory & Compliance Testing\nSupport electrical safety, EMC, and regulatory compliance testing.\nCoordinate testing activities with internal teams and external certified laboratories.\nCompile and maintain documentation required for regulatory submissions and audits.\nEnsure all verification records meet Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.\nRequirements Traceability & Documentation\nMaintain requirements, test plans, test cases, execution records, and verification reports in Jama.\nEnsure complete traceability between requirements, test procedures, test evidence, defects, and validation reports.\nGenerate verification summaries and release documentation packages.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline.\n3-5 years of experience in product verification, validation, test engineering, or system testing.\nStrong understanding of hardware and embedded system testing methodologies.\nExperience with reliability testing, burn-in testing, and qualification testing.\nHands-on experience with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, and data acquisition systems.\nExperience documenting requirements, test cases, and results using tools such as Jama or equivalent requirements management systems.\nStrong problem-solving, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.\nExcellent technical documentation and reporting skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in medical device development and verification.\nFamiliarity with ultrasound systems and image quality assessment using phantoms.\nKnowledge of IEC 60601 electrical safety standards and medical device compliance processes.\nExperience working with external certification or testing laboratories.\nInclusion and Diversity\nGE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion Employment decisions are made without regard to race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by law.\nWe expect all employees to live and breathe our behaviors: to act with humility and build trust; lead with transparency; deliver with focus, and drive ownership - always with unyielding integrity.\nOur total rewards are designed to unlock your ambition by giving you the boost and flexibility you need to turn your ideas into world-changing realities.
