Working closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and global teams, this individual will drive process innovation, improve operational efficiency, and support the successful launch and sustainment of MRI magnet products.\nThe ideal candidate brings a strong manufacturing and assembly background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a highly collaborative environment.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nLead development and implementation of MRI magnet assembly processes, tooling, and manufacturing methods for new product introductions.\nTranslate magnet designs and engineering requirements into robust, scalable manufacturing and assembly processes.\nLead research and development activities focused on improving manufacturing processes, assembly procedures, product reliability, and cost efficiency.\nDevelop, test, and validate new assembly technologies, tooling concepts, and production methodologies.\nCoordinate cross-functional efforts between Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Service teams to ensure successful product development and production readiness.\nDrive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) initiatives, incorporating ergonomics, safety, quality, and operational efficiency into product and process development.\nSupport manufacturing ramp-up activities, production transfers, and ongoing factory operations.\nAnalyze manufacturing performance data to identify opportunities for process improvements, cycle time reductions, quality enhancements, and cost savings.\nLead troubleshooting and root cause investigations related to product assembly, manufacturing processes, and field issues.\nPrepare and present technical reports, design reviews, validation documentation, and process improvement recommendations.\nSupport lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement programs.\nPartner with global teams and external suppliers to achieve project milestones and business objectives.\nSupport the installed MRI product base and manufacturing operations through technical problem solving and process optimization.\nEnsure compliance with GE HealthCare quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum of 2 years of professional experience in manufacturing, assembly engineering, product development, process engineering, or related technical roles.\nFamiliarity with manufacturing processes including heavy equipment manufacturing, assembly technologies, materials technologies, and manufacturing methods.\nExperience working in cross-functional, multidisciplinary engineering environments.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and drive projects to completion.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with MRI magnet manufacturing, assembly, or related medical device products.\nExperience launching new products into manufacturing environments.\nExperience developing or specifying large-scale tooling, fixtures, or assembly equipment.\nKnowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.\nExperience supporting manufacturing process development and validation activities.\nExperience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.\nStatistical analysis and data-driven problem-solving skills.\nExperience utilizing data mining, automation, analytics, or machine learning techniques to improve manufacturing processes.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced development environments.\nStrong project leadership and organizational skills.\nDemonstrated ability to generate innovative manufacturing and process solutions.\nWe will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.\n\nGE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
