Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.\nJob Description\nKey responsibilities/essential functions include:\nResponsible for compliance throughout the region, specifically in the areas of H&S while supporting other Health & Safety programs of service operations, offices and other GEHC entities, including EHS support at sites and service operations that do not have dedicated EHS personnel\nResponsible for developing, owning, and driving global programs in the health and safety domain\nIdentify, eliminate and/or mitigate EHS risks, particularly in H&S areas.\nBe a thought-leader and a key team member of the Health & Safety team along with other EHS team members across AKA\nDelivers in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety risks and regulations presented by all of GE's operations; serves as the H&S. expert for applicable regulatory and industry standard requirements\nEngage and leverage the Global H&S and Governance teams in the development of proactive solutions necessary to reduce future risk\nServes as a coach and mentor to other EHS professionals and leadership team and to build the pipeline in the region\nSupport services organizations and coordinate activities across AKA\nBe a subject matter expert to ensure appropriate technical and regulatory competency for EHS professionals and other operational employees\nSupports all other EHS tasks as assigned\nAware of and complies with EHS Policies and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position. Completes all planned EHS training within the defined deadlines.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university; related EHS discipline.\n5+ years overseeing the execution of EHS programs\n10+ years of EHS experience with a working technical understanding of general H&S\nDeep knowledge of GE's EHS programs and systems\nStrong understanding of legal requirements associated with EHS issues\nDesired Characteristics:\nAbility to travel about 25% of the time\nExtensive experience working with industry EHS organizations\nRelated EHS expertise outside of primary responsibility i.e. ,Electrical, PPE, Risk Assessment, Emergency Preparedness, radiation safety\nDemonstrated ability to organize, motivate and lead teams, drive change, and interact cross functionally\nExcellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with internal and external customers, and all levels of the organization\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to facilitate and conduct presentations with large and small groups\nInclusion and Diversity\nGE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
