The engineer will work independently, contribute to technical initiatives, and collaborate with architects, product owners, frontend engineers, and cross-functional teams to build secure, highly available, resilient services.\nLocation: Whitefield, Bengaluru. Mode: Hybrid, 3 days from office and 2 days WFH.\nEssential Responsibilities\nDesign and develop cloud-native services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.\nBuild, deploy, and maintain microservices on Docker and Kubernetes, primarily AWS/EKS environments.\nDesign REST APIs, event-driven services and asynchronous communication.\nOwn technical design discussions and contribute to architecture reviews, platform standards, and technology roadmaps.\nImplement secure, scalable, resilient, observable, and highly available solutions using AWS cloud services.\nChampion automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, observability, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.\nWork with PostgreSQL, MySQL or Aurora, Redis, and other appropriate relational or NoSQL technologies.\nMentor engineers and participate in Agile planning, estimation, execution, and delivery.\nRequired Qualifications and Skills\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM-related field.\n5-10 years of software development experience with strong Java and Spring Boot expertise.\nExperience designing enterprise-grade microservices and distributed systems.\nHands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes/EKS, cloud security, IAM, networking, and monitoring.\nExperience with REST APIs, event-driven services, Kafka, SQS/SNS, or equivalent messaging technologies.\nExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL/Aurora, Redis, and database/cache integration.\nCI/CD experience using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent tools.\nAutomated testing and quality experience using JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, SonarQube, or comparable tools.\nObservability experience using CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, or comparable platforms.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience building multi-tenant SaaS, highly scalable distributed systems\nExperience with Kubernetes platform.\nReal-time signaling, high-concurrency session services, GenAI/LLM integrations, or AI-powered applications.\nHealthcare, medical-device, regulated-software.\nInclusion and Diversity\nGE Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
