Working across global software, firmware, and service engineering teams, you will drive platform capabilities from concept through final product release.Job Description\nResponsibilities\nWork with a cross-functional team of engineers, scientists, and applications experts to translate high level software computing needs that demand new computer capabilities into component-level requirements.\nDesigns and programs a small module or a large component, feature, set of features for the product.\nSkilled in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.\nImplement diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot computers, display hardware for troubleshooting failures helping field and online engineers.\nPlan and perform integration activities at component, sub-system, and system levels. Document designs and verification activities; perform component & subsystem level verifications, participate in system level verifications and validations, as necessary.\nFacilitate performance issues triage and resolution when spanning hardware, firmware and operating system modules or settings.\nResearch industry trends in Compute, containers, virtual machines, cyber security, Linux operating system, and packaging technologies.\nKeep abreast of Linux Service Pack releases, recommend adoption, and drive the adoption.\nRequirement Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Computer science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience.\nExperience in Linux software packaging, installation technologies and various scripting languages such as Python, Perl.\nExperience with object oriented and modular Linux programming.\nWorking knowledge in configuration management tools such as Git.\nDesired Characteristics\nMaster’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering\nExperience leveraging AI-driven solution to predict, monitor, and resolve compute system issues.\nExperience with GPU, Drivers, BIOS, Networking, GPU technologies.\nDemonstrated expertise in Linux Service Packs adoption, security patches installation.\nExperience with automated test suites infrastructure - test case development, automation, and continuous integration\nExperience with Cyber security tools, Pen testing, vulnerabilities diagnosis and delivering software fixes.\nFamiliarity with Python IDEs (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, PyCharm).\nDependable, detailed oriented, hands-on problem solver obsessed with automating processes, continuous improvement.\nWe will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.\n\nGE HealthCare offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
