Our software runs in anesthesia delivery systems and related vaporizer technologies used by clinicians every day.\nWe are looking for a software engineer who is interested in embedded systems and wants to grow into a systems-focused role. You do not need to be an expert in medical devices today. You should, however, be curious about how software, electronics, sensors, actuators, and real-time behavior come together in a physical product.\nThis role includes feature development, product enhancements, system integration, automated testing, and investigation of product issues. You will work with experienced engineers and gradually take ownership of embedded components and system functions. The long-term goal is to develop engineers who understand both the technology and the anesthesia and ventilation-delivery domain.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nDesign, implement, test, and maintain embedded software for anesthesia systems and associated vaporizer products.\nDevelop software in C++ for RTOS and Embedded Linux environments.\nIntegrate software with processors, sensors, actuators, communication interfaces, and other product subsystems.\nDebug problems that cross software, operating-system, communication, and hardware boundaries.\nContribute to automated testing, development tools, CI/CD pipelines, design reviews, and code reviews.\nCollaborate with systems, hardware, cybersecurity, quality, clinical, and software engineering teams.\nWork with global teams on common embedded platforms and reusable software.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.\n2+ years of software development experience.\nExperience developing software in C++.\nDemonstrated interest in embedded systems through work, academic projects, research, internships, robotics, controls, electronics, or personal projects.\nBasic understanding of software design, debugging, testing, and version control.\nStrong problem-solving and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with an RTOS, Embedded Linux, ARM-based systems, or hardware/software integration.\nExperience developing software for embedded systems, robotics, controls, or other hardware-based products.\nExperience with automated testing, Python, Git, GitLab, or continuous integration.\nExperience in medical devices or another regulated industry.\nInterest in learning the medical-device industry and developing deep knowledge of anesthesia and ventilation delivery.\nWe expect all employees to live and breathe our behaviors: to act with humility and build trust; lead with transparency; deliver with focus, and drive ownership -always with unyielding integrity.\nOur total rewards are designed to unlock your ambition by giving you the boost and flexibility you need to turn your ideas into world-changing realities.
