Operations may include setup, paper preparation, roll-press, winding, tearing, and taping.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nAs the Machine Operator you will: Operate machines and processes to produce various parts of the instrument transformer. Set up machines at the beginning of shift to ensure proper working order;\n Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during the production procedures; \n Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift; \n Troubleshoot problems during machine operation; \n Examine work and material for imperfections; \n Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures; \n Work from product drawings, manuals, and specifications; \n Collect all material and equipment needed to perform work; \n Set-up, operate, adjust and troubleshoot all tools and equipment used in the process; \n Inspect finished product and report issues, malfunctions or defects; \n Maintain accurate work records; \n Maintain productivity standards; \n Perform other related duties; \n Perform all duties as part of a team.\nQualifications/Requirements:\nHigh School diploma or its equivalent;\n Minimum 6 months of machine operator experience in a manufacturing environment; \n Ability and willingness to work overtime; \n Ability and willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts; \n Ability and willingness to work a 12 hour shift schedule, as required.\nDesired Characteristics:\nAbility to perform precise and detailed work;\n Ability to handle heavy equipment; \n Ability to stand for long periods of time; \n Willingness to work outside normal work hours to support assembly requirements; \n Basic computer skills; \n Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing; \n Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; \n Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); \n Strong team working skills; \n Manual dexterity, strong attention to detail; \n Ability and willingness to work in a tobacco-free environment; \n Read, understand and utilize procedures, detailed build plans, and basic mathematical calculations\nPosition Shift: Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm\nFor candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is $22.88-$27.50.\nAdditional Information\nGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
