This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs across multiple machine platforms and axis configurations. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on programming expertise, a solid understanding of CAD/CAM workflows, in-process probing integration, and the ability to resolve complex machining issues in a fast-paced production environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam (primary) and NX (secondary)\nCreate and modify 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC programs for production parts\nProgram and troubleshoot CNC milling machines, including but not limited to:Okuma machines\nRoboDrill machines\nHaas machines (3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis)\n\nImplement and optimize Renishaw probing routines for in-process inspection, tool setting, work offset verification, and part alignment in production operations\nUtilize SolidWorks for part modeling, design review, and program development support\nDiagnose and resolve machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, programming errors, and machine performance\nPerform program verification, simulation, and first-article setup\nMaintain accurate documentation of programs, setups, and process changes\nCollaborate with manufacturing engineering, quality, and shop floor teams to improve process efficiency and part quality\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum 8 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a production/manufacturing environment\nStrong Proficiency in Mastercam; working knowledge of NX\nDemonstrated experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CNC machines\nStrong understanding of implementing Renishaw probing into production operations (in-process inspection, tool setting, offset verification, dynamic work offsets,)\nExperience with SolidWorks CAD Design\nHands-on troubleshooting experience with CNC milling machines (Okuma, RoboDrill, Haas)\nStrong understanding of machining principles, G-code, tooling, and work holding\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T\nDesired Qualifications\nCAD design of EDM electrode holders, fixtures, and specialized tooling.\nExperience programming, operating, or troubleshooting Mitsubishi wire EDM and sinker EDM equipment.\nExperience designing custom fixtures and work holding solutions; familiarity with continuous improvement methods.\nEligibility Requirements\nMust be able to work on-site at GE Vernova in Parsippany, New Jersey\nThis role requires access to technical data subject to U.S. Government export control restrictions and is limited to U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and protected individuals as defined under applicable law).
