In support of service operations, the Korea EHS Specialist will also partner closely with the Korea Services Leader and Regional Services EHS Leader to ensure effective EHS execution, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement across outage and field service activities.\nJob Description\nKey Roles & Responsibilities\nEnsure compliance with KOSHA, SAPA, and all applicable Korean regulatory requirements across Gas Power Services operations\nServe as the primary EHS advisor during outage and field service activities, providing on-site support and risk management.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems, policies, procedures, and safe work practices in accordance with legal and GEV EHS company standards.\nConduct risk assessments, hazard identification, Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and verify effectiveness of risk control measures.\nCoordinate and support inspections, audits, and investigations involving regulatory authorities and customer sites.\nLead incident and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.\nMonitor EHS performance metrics, analyze trends, and develop improvement initiatives to strengthen safety culture and operational excellence.\nDeliver EHS training and competency programs to employees, contractors, and site leadership.\nSupport management in fulfilling legal obligations under SAPA, including safety governance, risk management, and prevention of serious industrial accidents.\nBuild strong partnerships with site leaders, supervisors, employees, and contractors to promote proactive safety leadership and compliance.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.\nQualification under the Korean National Technical Qualification Act preferred (e.g., Industrial Safety Engineer or equivalent).\nMinimum 5 years of EHS experience in power generation, construction, industrial services, or project environments.\nStrong knowledge of KOSHA, SAPA, risk assessment requirements, permit-to-work systems, and contractor safety management.\nExperience in EHS auditing, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance management.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to travel 50-80% (could change) a year\nPreferred Competencies\nCompetent certification in KOSHA & SAPA trained professional.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nDemonstrated leadership in safety culture development and continuous improvement.\nExperience working with multinational organizations and matrix structures.\nLean, operational excellence, or ISO 45001 management system
