You’ll support the safe and sustainable delivery of renewable energy during ITO/OTR, Premobilization, Mobilization, Construction and Commissioning activities by developing, implementing and maintaining the GE Vernova EHS systems and programs across multiple wind farm construction Projects. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant local / National legislation, ISO standards (14001 & 45001), and internal management systems.You will be a required to travel between Project sites and to provide expert technical EHS support to sites remotely where necessary. ensuring the wellbeing of our employees, communities, and the environment.\nJob Description\nEssential Responsibilities\nEHS & Compliance Governance\nSupport the implementation of GE Vernova’s EHS Management System and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, standards, and permits.\nAssist in maintaining compliance with environmental licensing and reporting obligations.\nParticipate in environmental monitoring programs, including waste, water, air, and spill prevention.\nSupport documentation and submittal of reports required under environmental regulations and internal reporting cycles.\nSafety & Risk Management\nConduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.\nAssist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures.\nSupport toolbox talks, pre-start briefings, and job safety analyses to promote a proactive safety culture.\nContribute to site EHS planning, ensuring critical risk areas are effectively managed.\nTraining & Awareness\nDeliver EHS training and awareness sessions for employees and contractors.\nPromote continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance through engagement and coaching.\nEnvironmental & Sustainability Initiatives\nSupport implementation of the Environmental and Sustainability strategy for service operations.\nParticipate in waste reduction, water conservation, and carbon footprint initiatives aligned with GE Vernova’s Environment, Social, and Governance commitments.\nReporting & Metrics\nCollect, analyse, and report on EHS performance indicators (KPIs and leading metrics).\nMaintain accurate records and contribute to EHS dashboards, audits, and management reviews.\nSupport preparation for internal and external EHS audits.\nQualifications and Requirements\nBachelor of Science in Occupational Health and Safety or technical equivalent from an accredited college or university, or equivalent qualification.\nMinimum of 3 years’ experience in an EHS role within construction, energy, or renewable energy sectors.\nStrong knowledge of Local/National WHS and Environmental legislation and compliance requirements.\nExperience implementing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.\nAbility to obtain Global Wind Organization (GWO) certification.\nAbility to travel 50% of the time\nMedical fitness and ability to work at height as per GEV onboarding fitness for work requirements.\nStrong communication, organization, and reporting skills.\nFluent oral and written English and Japanese communication skills\nMust hold a valid Japanese driver's license\nDesired Characteristics\nCert IV in Training and assessment.\nFamiliarity with GE Vernova’s EHS systems and processes (or similar EHS frameworks).\nDemonstrated ability to influence and work collaboratively across diverse teams.\nUnderstanding of ESG frameworks and sustainability reporting.\nDemonstrated ability to organize, motivate and drive change and interact cross-functionally\nConfidently able to facilitate and deliver training and or presentations to a diverse
