Reporting to the EHS Leader, you will champion our site's commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with operations teams to build a proactive safety culture, manage EHS data, drive risk reduction, and support the implementation of GE Vernova's Life Saving Rules.Job Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nMonitor and ensure site compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as internal GE Vernova management system requirements.\nCollect, analyze, and report site-specific data to support external regulatory requirements.\nAnticipate, recognize, and control workplace hazards, including participating in engineering reviews and risk assessments as part of the Management of Change (MOC) process and coordinating risk reduction projects.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain site EHS procedures, and facilitate or deliver site-specific training.\nMaintain accurate EHS records in digital platforms such as Gensuite and Workday.\nPartner with supervision, engineering, and shop floor associates to strengthen operational safety ownership.\nChampion risk reduction initiatives, including operational Risk Identification and \"Strength of Defense\" strategies.\nCollaborate with Operations and Facilities teams on programs that promote a \"safety first\" mindset across the site.\nFacilitate cross-functional EHS incident reviews to identify root causes and help develop effective, long-term solutions.\nSupport the EHS team in executing site-wide initiatives, including the integration of new technology to enhance existing safety systems.\nSupport the communication, education, and implementation of GE Vernova's Life Saving Rules.\nApply analytical thinking to propose and implement solutions to challenges within our manufacturing processes.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's of Science in EHS, Engineering, or a related field; or an A.S. in an EHS-related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience as an EHS professional.\nExperience with the MS Office Suite and EHS data management software (Gensuite, Workday).\nAbility to understand, interpret, and operate within complex chemical or mechanical manufacturing processes.\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders from the shop floor to senior management and to represent the company effectively to external agencies, customers, and regulatory bodies.\nDesired Qualifications\nCurrently pursuing, or interested in earning, a professional certification (CSP, CIH, CHMM, etc.).\nStrong ability to interpret complex EHS regulations and apply them practically to factory operations, with knowledge of industrial waste regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NYS DEC).\nPrior experience with export-controlled documentation and change management systems.\nTrack record of proactively identifying safety risks and implementing lean-based countermeasures, ideally with industrial hygiene or exposure assessment experience (conducting assessments, interpreting results, report writing, and employee engagement).\nThe base pay range for this position is $77,900 to 116,900 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
