Develop software by using secure design practices.\nYou will be responsible for multiple aspects of product development ranging from requirements analysis, feature development, prototype generation and testing, to final design validation, documentation, and product release.\nJob Description\nEssential Responsibilities\nDefine validation strategies for testing the control platform of GE Power Conversion drives.\nDevelop test application and automated test scripts using generic scripting tools to perform the testing.\nCreate test scenarios for hardware modules supporting different communication protocols namely EtherCAT, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Canbus, IEC 61850, etc.\nValidate remote monitoring systems, KPIs, loggers, GE VISOR systems.\nPrepare test plans, test cases, bug reports and other documents to meet the quality standards.\nPrepare test rigs for validation and should be able to decide on the hardware and software required for the tests.\nManage test laboratory, plan hardware and tools required for upcoming tests, keep inventory and track component movements.\nPerform extensive regression tests and tests on new features.\nDevelop automated test scripts using Python.\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Team Leads, and Developers to understand technically the product features and new implementations.\nInteract with multiple stake holders located in other parts of the globe.\nTake up customer issues on priority and provide timely resolution for the issues to gain better customer satisfaction index. \nSupport embedded software testing for various domains like O&G, Power Systems, Metal and Marine.\nExecute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements\nDocument technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures\nProvide timely communications on significant issues or developments. Participate in teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues.\nEngage in all aspects of product development ranging from requirements analysis, code development and testing.\nWork with cross platform engineering teams for development and execution of product enhancements, product upgrades, and new product introductions.\nDevelop and implement embedded software ranging from high-level application to low-level hardware device drivers.\nDevelop embedded software to suit various domains like O&G, Power Systems, Metals and Marine.\nDevelop front end applications using Microsoft technologies (Visual Basic, Visual C++, C#, .Net).\nAnalyze embedded code to determine root cause of defects and implement corrective actions.\nExpertise in IEC61850 Protocol.\nIEC61850 System Configurator Tool (SCT) and IED Configurator Tool(ICT) development.\nDevelop ICT/SCT embedded feature to existing PLC programming tool.\nUnderstand IEC 61850 protocol Functional design requirements and develop a new ICT/SCT Tool for our Products.\nStrong Industrial Experience on IEC61850 Edition-1 and Edition-2, MMS /Goose/SMV communication.\nBasic Understanding of SNTP/PTP/HSR/PRP/ FTP Protocols.\nBasic Understanding of IEC62443 and IEC62351 standards.\nWork experience on IEC61850 Simulators and Troubleshooting tools.\nQualifications/Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics from reputed institutions.\nMinimum 1 to 2 year of experience in industrial development and validation environment.\nUnderstand IEC 61850 protocol Functional \nHands on experience in C / C++ / VC++ / C# / RTOS / Python (Scripting).\nWide experience in testing Controller redundancy.\nGood knowledge on the industrial communication protocols like EtherCAT, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Canbus, OPC, OPCUA, etc.\nGood knowledge in Ethernet, TCP/IP.\nGood knowledge on scripting tools.\nExcellent debugging skills.\nBasic understanding about Cyber
