Alignment with ELEC segment and GEV will also allow consistence in skills, tools and processes governance for global PCS Logistics\nJob Description\nDevelop, implement, and lead the overall global commodity strategy for Logistics, covering all GE Power Conversion & Storage sites.\nPartner with all PCS sites and lead the development & execution of global sourcing strategies for the Logistics, packing and customs across inbound and outbound activities.\nLeverage broader GE Electrification and other GE Vernova businesses.\nDevelop technical and market expertise.\nDrive the supplier diversity and sustainability priorities aligned with global strategy, by aiming risk mitigation and competitiveness. Lead the evaluation and selection of new suppliers, development of existing suppliers, and overall supplier management.\nDrive Sourcing initiatives including growing shared supplier spend, best cost country (BCC), productivity, rationalization of supply base, sole source reduction, cycle reduction, on time delivery and quality improvements, lean & pull production, and cash flow improvement.\nPut in place and Manage supplier contracts / supply agreements or ulilize the ones with GEV or ELEC segment.\nUnderstand business compliance requirements and drive opportunities to eliminate compliance risk, optimize customs duties as well as driving initiatives to remediate concerns.\nBe responsible for delivering improvements to key sourcing metrics to include Quality Performance, Fulfillment, and Cost.\nBe an active partner with the regions and GEV to develop proper Logistics tools & systems\nHelp optimize technical requirements for packing across commodities and products with regional logistics & sourcing teams\nPropose most optimum supply chain on complex projects or repetitive product flow business to comply with country tax & customs regulations and optimize costs for PCS\nEssential Specific Responsibilities:\nMajor commodities covered:\nLogistics for inbound & outbound\nPacking in factory for PCS made products, at supplier for purchased goods, establishing or reviewing technical packing specifications when needed\nCustoms duties: align with regulations, adjust supply chain to optimize customs duties for in and outbound shipments\nQualifications/Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in Logistics operations or Sourcing - Logistics & packing\n10+ years’ experience in Logistics operations & sourcing\nExperience in leadership roles within a complex, global matrixed managed multi-site organization and driving logistics for complex and multi year delivery projects\nBroad competence in sourcing analyses & logistics operations\nVery strong negotiation skill\nDefining a strategy\nBasic knowledge of supplier audit and performance evaluation\nFluency in English\nFigures management; able to use database.\nBusiness understanding\nGood understanding of international Business & Sourcing\nGood knowledge of the Company’s operations & of the local marketplace\nContracting\nDesired Characteristics\nIntegrity and autonomy.\nAble to shape strategy and direction.\nLeadership and power to convince and reach the other’s agreement, in a non-direct management scheme.\nVery good communication and negotiation skills\nTeam player and networker\nFocus on timely and Cost details awareness.\nAbility to work, listen and convince in a multicultural environment and with functional influence in a matrix organization.\nInnovative & creative; major change agent.\nResilient, sees setbacks as opportunities.\nAbility to travel frequently and visit PCS regional teams and suppliers.\nAdditional Information\nRelocation Assistance Provided: Yes\n#LI-Remote - This is a remote positionCandidates should be aware that this role involves a client's critical infrastructure; shortlisted candidates would therefore be subject to heightened security checks as directed by our clients.
