This team leads second source supplier\nqualifications, dispositioning deviant hardware, supporting lean activities, cost\nreduction, scrap reduction and pre-emptive scrap and non-conformance\nreductions as well. The team is critical to enabling fulfillment for our customers.\n2) This job involves working as a hands-on engineer supporting hardware quality\nand fulfillment. The Hot Gas Path engineer will interface closely with the\ncomponent design engineers, manufacturing engineers, and the Global Supply\nChain initiatives team to ensure GE delivers quality hardware that meets the\nneeds of our service centers and customers.\nJob Description\nWhat you’ll do\nPartner with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborate cross-functionally to continuously drive improvements and disposition deviant hardware quickly, while maintaining optimal quality for our customers\nSupport hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, new equipment Apply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall function of part, reduce cost and add value Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens & Lean Action Workouts\nSupport Design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent Engineering\nProactive Quality engagement for Defect reduction / process improvements\nSupport Qualification guidelines, specifications and top manufacturing issues Technology development and qualification of special processes - castings, coating, holedrilling, etc.\nCultivate teamwork, positive working environment, and morale; drive a sense of urgency and quality with speed\n\nWhat you'll bring\nBachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.\nMinimum of 1 year relevant experience.\n\nWhat will make you stand out\n2+ years of turbine engineering experience\n1+ years of shop/manufacturing experience\nWell versed in lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control\nDeep technical background on HGP components, including NX and GD&T\nAbility to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations.\nExperience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes\nCustomer satisfaction mindset with strong Quality orientation\nExcellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills \nAbility and willingness to challenge the status quo and deliver the best GE products \n\nThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
