They provide technical leadership to other engineers and customer facing teams, they oversee each phase of the project delivery to make sure that we deliver valuable systems solutions with an excellent operational rigour.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\n In this role you will:\nLead a multidiscipline team of engineers specializing in control and protection system, automation system, HV & LV power systems, and verification & Validation ensuring the overall solution meets customer, contract, quality and regulatory requirements.\nProvide technical leadership, advice and assistance to the overall project team as appropriate including Tendering, Commissioning, Service and 3rd parties.\nSupport the Project (Engineering) Manager as required and deputise for them as and when the need arises. Plan and progress all design engineering related activities including testing and commissioning for specific projects.\nMonitor, control and manage engineering budgets, project documentation, risk management process, design reviews and quality & change control system in accordance with company guidelines.\nSupport improvement initiatives and ‘cost out’ plans in collaborations with teams from other business units.\nAct as primary technical & project interface with all project stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, NPI and Product care\nEnsuring that all activities are efficiently and cost-effectively executed according to contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.\nManage and lead the team to successfully execute projects with adherence to the project schedule, cost and contract.\nLead and motivate a group of technical people.\nAct as a problem solver and take responsibility for control & protection along with automation of HVDC solutions.\nDay-to-day interaction with different functions and joint problem solving within the core team for efficient collaboration and continuous competency development.\nTo be a successful in this role, you should have:\nExperience in an engineering & project leadership environment\nExperience in application engineering in one or more fields, from controls engineering, protection, automation, HVDC, and grid connected systems\nExperience in project execution of HVDC or similar\nExperience of design and system integration working on complex multi-disciplinary projects\nControls & Protection of HV & LV system\nExperience of owning the job, making it their own, and adding value beyond\nCapable of leading large multi-disciplinary teams\nAbility to multi-task on a variety of tasks to strict time scales\nStrong analytical, interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills\nCustomer-centric mind set, experience in translating customer issues / needs into profitable business solutions\nundefined\nQualifications\nMin Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Project Management & equivalent degree with suitable industry experience.\nMore than 9 years’ experience in Control & Protection system and have strong problem-solving skills.\nStrong sense of urgency and ability to identify and manage team organisational risks.\nProven skills in managing and leading team with strong technical background\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAble to work to deadlines under pressure whilst maintaining the safety, quality, and engineering integrity of the solution.\nMust be flexible with working hours and willing to travel globally.\nundefined\nDesired Characteristics\n\nStrong oral and written communication skills.
