There is generally a step by step sequence of standard operational tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform on-site installation, Commissioning, refurbishment, Startup, Maintenance,\nTrouble Shooting & Upgrading of synchronous and induction machines and excitation & AVR systems.\nRespond to requests for emergency repairs and services.\nProvide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer's sites .\nWriting technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis.\nProvide leadership and technical direction to skilled labor performing work on customer sites. \nMaintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards. \nPrepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and a reference for future outages\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university· \nMinimum of 5 years of field maintenance experience with electrical motors and generators.\nAbility and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required.\nDesired Characteristics\nAbility and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.\nAbility and willingness to work remotely; as required.\nAbility to work effectively with minimum supervision.\nStrong customer service mindset.\nPrior field services experience.\nStrong organizational skills.\nPrior project management experience. \nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nAdditional Information\nRelocation Assistance Provided: No\nCandidates should be aware that this role involves a client's critical infrastructure; shortlisted candidates would therefore be subject to heightened security checks as directed by our clients.
