You will develop a solid knowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical control systems for turbines, Generators, Compressors and Plant Controls. This is a great opportunity to expand your professional career and gain invaluable hands-on experience.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide engineering support for retrofit control systems under the overall management responsibility of the project manager. Be accountable for project deliverables, customer CTQ compliance, on-time schedule execution and team performance. \nApply electrical and mechanical engineering principles to analyze, propose, design, test, and troubleshoot control systems. \nLead Project team to achieve business Key Performance Indicators and on-time execution of the project deliverables, while ensuring conformance to applicable design practices & procedures, assuring product quality \nOwn the Project Engineering hours budgets and assign them to the project team(s). \nOwn the Project Milestone schedules and make sure all deliverables are provide on schedule. \nEnsure regulatory compliance of deliverables \nReview contract documentation and customer specifications for technical impact. \nCo-Responsible for technical review and response to customer specifications. Provides support to commercial/sales organization to interpret requirements and define responses in proposals and Tables of Compliance. \nWork alongside, receiving mentoring from, Senior Project Engineers. \nHelp Design systems for interface to existing turbine control equipment, and evaluate all system components, requirements, and interactions. \nResponsible to coordinate and Co-lead technical design reviews of projects and insure all required documentation is archived. \nApply knowledge of industry practices and international standards to produce high-quality and cost-effective designs. \nSupport customer meetings, factory acceptance testing, and eventually installation and commissioning of control systems. \nFrequently interact with customers and suppliers. \nDemonstrated expertise in technical problem resolution, especially with regards to power plants operation. \nDomestic and international travel may be required \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelors degree in engineering or related discipline\nMinimum 8 years of experience including a detailed understanding of power application with turbine-generator control systems for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and respective Excitation Controls or Minimum 6 years if the candidate holds a Masters Degree in a STEM field. \nKnowledge and experience with electrical and mechanical control systems. \nAbility to support multiple projects simultaneously in a matrix management environment. \nDesired Characteristics\nFamiliarity with non-GE turbines or non-GE control systems. \nExperience on ALSTOM Steam Turbines and Compressor Controls.\nExperience on MarkV, MarkVI, MarkVIe and EX2100e Systems.\nFamiliarity on GE HMIs, Networking and Cyber Solutions.\nExperience in interfacing with all levels of GE internal and external customers (GE employees only). \nGreen Belt certified, or other lean training. \nFamiliarity with the ControlST software suit. \nFamiliarity with power plant methods of
