You will be part of AMRT (Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Technology) Joining team and industrialization of process around the global repair network to deliver quality and productivity.Job Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop new manufacturing and repair process technology to assist component teams in implementing repair strategies or fulfilling factory NPI requirements.\nDeep knowledge in Laser Cladding and Welding, Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Brazing is strongly preferred.\nCreate and execute qualification plan for repair materials/process technology in conjunction with Repair Engineers.\nEnsure the successful transfer of development processes and validate repair service centers' qualifications and certifications for their repair procedures.\nMonitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.\nMaintain an in-depth knowledge of joining processes, including a variety of techniques such as welding and brazing, to effectively address diverse engineering challenges and select the most appropriate method for specific applications.\nAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.\nProvide lean efforts to support continuous improvement and seek opportunities to enhance processes across the repair network.\nCollaborate with supply chain, component teams, productivity departments, and other GE organizations to identify opportunities for projects and improvements within the supply chain network.\nQualifications/ Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Welding, Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering degree, or equivalent experience.\nMinimum of 8 years of manufacturing experience, with at least 5 years in joining processes.\nDemonstrate strong understanding of superalloy welding and brazing metallurgy.\nKnowledge of industrial gas turbine components and processes would be advantageous.\nStrong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers.\nGood understanding of lean methodology.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nAbility and willingness to travel a minimum of 10% of the time, as required.\nAdditional Information\nRelocation Assistance Provided:
