They are guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role.\nThe focus of this role will be supporting the implementation of corrective actions in collaboration with Root Cause Analysis. The role will also be responsible for Emergent Repair programs ensuring that complex problems are resolved with a focus on technician safety and turbine availability.\nImpacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nResponsible for execution for Emergent Repair programs to resolve complex issues and return turbines to service.\nResponsible for collaboration with Root Cause Analysis team to develop repairs for long term corrective actions.\nIdentify and develop programs to drive down time to return units to service\nPartner with Program Management and Product Line to guide optimal design decisions for current products, new products, and commercial deals to achieve business objectives\nLead technical program teams on system trade-offs and optimizations with a focus on Safety and reducing Services Costs.\nCommunicate and provide recommendations through analysis, preparation and presentation of technical material to internal and external audiences\nLead Services investments from pre-conceptual design work through design, validation and launch, prioritizing and managing risks on safety, quality, delivery, and cost\nEffectively manage program requirements and requirement flow down to optimize product offering and competitiveness\nWork with Systems Leaders to leverage lessons learned, best practices, process improvements and standard work\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college\nMinimum of 2 years of significant experience in Engineering/Technology\n\nDesired Characteristics\nAbility to break down complex issues, determine possible courses of action, and enable effective decision making\nSystem or product-level mindset\nConceptual design and/or system-level trade-off experience\nWind turbine experience in design, installation, operation, maintenance or repairs\nRequirements definition, decomposition, and/or translation experience\nEffective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences\n\nGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
