The successful candidate will ensure all assembly, inspection, and testing activities are completed using Lean Manufacturing methodologies while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.You will work to detailed specifications and instructions, using the correct tools, techniques, and processes to deliver products that meet exacting customer expectations.\nJob Description\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nEnvironment, Health & Safety (EHS)\nMaintain full compliance with all EHS policies, procedures, and safe working practices.\nFollow all operational safety procedures to ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues.\nAlways Adhere to mandatory Life Saving Rules and workplace safety standards.\nProduction & Delivery\nResponsible for the assembly and build of products in line with the manufacturing plan.\nEnsure products are completed to schedule to support on-time delivery targets.\nWork efficiently to achieve production goals without compromising safety or quality.\nProduct Quality\nEnsure all work is completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.\nMaintain high build standards and identify any issues affecting product quality.\nInterpret technical diagrams, drawings, and schematics accurately.\nContinuous Improvement\nSupport and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and delivery performance.\nContribute ideas for improvement through the Employee Ideas Scheme.\nAssist in driving sustainable manufacturing efficiencies using Lean Manufacturing principles.\nMaintenance & Housekeeping\nFollow routine maintenance schedules and cleaning plans for workstations, tools, jigs, and fixtures.\nReport any concerns or equipment issues to the Production Support Engineer/Coordinator.\nMaintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.\nTeam Support\nAssist with training and supporting colleagues where required.\nCollaborate effectively within the production team.\nSupport additional duties as required to meet business needs.\nDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability to future operational requirements.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nEssential Skills & Experience\nGood general standard of education with recognised qualifications.\nSignificant experience within a light mechanical assembly or similar manufacturing environment.\nAbility to follow written instructions and standard procedures accurately.\nStrong communication and teamwork skills.\nComfortable using touchscreen technology and basic IT systems.\nExperience with manual handling and safe lifting practices.\nDesirable Skills & Knowledge\nElectrical or electronic qualifications would be advantageous.\nUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, and Flow/Pull techniques.\nMechanical and/or electrical aptitude.\nExperience interpreting engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.\nAdditional Information\nShift Pattern: Nights\nMonday to Thursday: 10pm to 6am, and,\nFriday: 6pm to 12am\nRelocation and Visa Sponsorship not provided\nWhy This Role Matters\nManufacturing Assemblers are critical to ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.
