In this role, you will help ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production by supporting equipment changes, troubleshooting issues, driving process improvements, and working closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and supplier partners.\nThis is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, practical problem-solving, and the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the implementation of equipment and process changes to improve performance and efficiency.\nMaintain and improve manufacturing processes and equipment, including product and variant changes.\nProvide first-line engineering support for equipment breakdowns and production issues.\nSupport maintenance technicians with calibration and preventative maintenance activities.\nTrain and support production operators in the correct use of equipment and processes.\nWork with equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues and implement improvements.\nSupport manufacturing IT systems and provide first-line support during downtime.\nCreate and update work instructions, risk assessments, and operator training documents.\nLead and support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and reliability.\nSupport manufacturing operations during second shift hours.\nRequired Qualifications / Experience\nSignificant experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.\nExperience with automated assembly equipment.\nHNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Electronic, or a related engineering discipline.\nStrong understanding of manufacturing equipment and technical troubleshooting.\nKnowledge of environmental, health, and safety requirements and compliance standards.\nExperience supporting production assembly equipment in a manufacturing environment.\nAbility to work effectively in a team and across functions.\nStrong English communication skills, written and verbal.\nDesired Qualifications / Experience\nEducation, HNC/HND or Engineering Degree in an electrical/electronic-related discipline.\nUnderstanding of manufacturing IT systems integration.\nExperience with Desoutter tooling, advanced manufacturing methods, and ISO standards.\nSAP and Lean Manufacturing experience.\nFamiliarity with HVDC product assembly processes advantage.\nDesired Characteristics\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.\nStrong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.\nAble to work to deadlines while maintaining quality.\nFlexible and collaborative approach.\nWork Pattern\nPermanent on-site role, 5 days per week, second shift (14:00 to 22:00 Mon - Thursday and 11:00 - 16:00 Friday)\nAdditional Information\nRelocation Assistance Provided: No","description_format":"text","description_chars":3827,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"English","level":"Upper-Intermediate (B2)","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Relocation assistance"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":true,"industries":["Industrial Engineering","Artificial Intelligence","Energy Efficiency","Smart City"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-30T06:43:27Z"}],"visa":[{"country":"GB","licensed_sponsor":true,"evidence":"Licensed UK visa sponsor (Skilled Worker, Graduate Trainee, Senior or Specialist Worker)","filings_12m":null,"filings_prev_12m":null,"green_card_filings_12m":null,"median_offered_wage_usd":null,"route":"Skilled Worker;
