You will act as a hands-on problem solver, ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed through effective tracking, control and coordination. Working closely with internal teams and supply chain partners, you will support work order fulfilment, inventory accuracy and the forward planning of material requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in stores, inventory or materials control who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.\nJob Description\nCoordinate the day-to-day supply of parts and direct materials needed to support the maintenance of GE’s Haliade-X wind turbine generators.\nCoordinate the movement of materials, including deliveries, collections and repairable items, across the central warehouse, onshore base and offshore locations.\nAnalyse demand, consumption and stock data to raise orders, support material planning and help maintain material availability.\nWork closely with Logistics, Warehousing, Sourcing and other internal teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and to the required standard.\nManage inventory at the O&M base, maintaining accurate stock records and effective control of parts and materials.\nCarry out regular stock checks and audits to ensure physical inventory aligns with system records and discrepancies are identified and resolved.\nSupport forecasting and forward planning of material and parts requirements in line with planned and reactive maintenance activity.\nMaintain accurate documentation and system records relating to stock, material movements, orders and inventory status.\nWork closely with project, engineering and operations teams to align material availability with work order and operational requirements.\nSupport the management of damaged parts, returns and material-related quality issues, working with relevant teams to resolve issues effectively.\nEnsure all material coordination activities are carried out in line with relevant processes, controls, quality standards and compliance requirements.\nIdentify opportunities to improve material control, stock accuracy and day-to-day material flow across site operations.\nEssential\nExperience in materials management, parts coordination, inventory control or supply chain support within a manufacturing, automotive, engineering, warehouse or similarly fast-paced environment.\nExperience in materials planning, inventory control or supply chain coordination within a maintenance-related environment.\nStrong understanding of procurement processes, inventory management and logistics coordination.\nStrong data analysis skills, including the ability to use MS Excel for reporting, formulas and pivot tables.\nExperience using ERP systems, warehouse management systems or material tracking tools to manage stock, materials or order-related activity.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities, stay organised and work to tight deadlines.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams, suppliers and other stakeholders.\nA proactive and methodical approach, with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.\nStrong analytical and practical problem-solving skills.\nConfidence to work independently, use initiative and prioritise competing requirements.\nAbility to work on site Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with a flexible approach and willingness to support wider operational requirements when needed.\nDesirable\nExperience using ServiceMax software or SAP\nExperience in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive or field service.\nExperience managing damaged parts, returns or material-related quality issues.\nExposure to forecasting, demand planning or stock consumption analysis.\nKnowledge of renewable energy technologies, offshore operations or wind industry environments.\nWhat We Offer\nAt GE Vernova, we invest in your long-term success and wellbeing through a comprehensive and flexible benefits package designed to support what matters most to you.\nOur Total Reward offering includes competitive compensation, performance-related bonus, flexible pension with a 10% employer contribution, employer-funded private health insurance, income protection and life assurance.\nWe support your time to recharge with 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.\nThrough our Flex Choice programme, you can take advantage of a range of additional benefits including buying and selling annual leave, a cycle-to-work scheme, financial planning services, critical illness insurance, personal accident cover, dental cover, travel insurance and the option to add family members to a private healthcare scheme.\nWhy Join GE Vernova?\nJoin GE Vernova at the Dogger Bank wind farm’s onshore base and take on a hands-on role where you can make a real impact on the maintenance and performance of the world’s most powerful offshore wind turbines.
