Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Execution of Mechanical erection works mainly related to rotating machines, Feed water pumps, Cooling pumps, Condensate extraction pumps, injection pumps, miscellaneous pumps -Driven pumps, blowers, fans, Compressors, control valves, etc, compliance with time schedule and to satisfactory quality. Coordination with the Construction lead, and mechanical commissioning engineers .\nIn charge of maintenance, trouble shooting , reparation of pumps, over-hauling, pumps alignment, routine & preventive maintenance, oil filling, for all mechanicals equipment’s.\nProvide co-workers with information about hazards, risks and risk mitigation measures applicable to the site.\nEnsuring within the scope of the discipline works that subcontractors are in compliance with the EHS requirements at the site.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nThe role requires strong mechanical execution and site-management capability, including subcontractor/client management, claims, rental equipment and company assets, EHS reviews, site warehouse / material controls, financials and statutory compliance. The incumbent will also lead the mechanical construction team / Supervisors to deliver project targets.\nMain Tasks\nThe Mechanical Construction Manager is responsible for the performance of site activities within the scope of his field of expertise, which is mainly the rotating machines erection, maintenance, alignment, over-hauling, repair, trouble shooting, etc.\nChecking the assembly documentation for his mechanical equipment scope, as well as the O&M manuals.\nChecking the I&T plans for his field of expertise while including the I&T program.\nFull supervision, support and guidance of the team working under his authority\nFull erection and maintenance of Rotating machines in accordance with the applicable drawings ,and O & M manuals.\nFull implementation of EHS rules and directives.\nFull cooperation and coordination with SM and other supervisors .\nImplementation of the work schedule tasks and time lines.\nDetailed Tasks\nPerform erection and maintenance of all pumps in Turbine hall such as Feedwater pumps, condensate extraction pumps, CCW pumps, ACW pumps, miscellaneous pumps, etc\nPerform erection and maintenance of all blowers, compressors, fans, and control valves.\nPerform all shaft / rotors alignments , and keep records according to ITPL\nOversees assigned mechanical personnel and daily erection activities (e.g. training, scheduling, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring that assignments are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner and maximizing the efficiency of the workforce\nPrepare and brief his team on individual site jobs to ensure site work is carried out to a high standard.\nAbility in reading and understanding specifications, drawings, and all other related project and engineering documentation. Knowledge of power plant KKS system is an added advantage.\nMaintenance , over-haul , and repairs of mechanical systems like actuators, pumps, motors, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics, upon request of GEV commissioning, and erection lead.\nWalk downs and visual inspection of live systems while plant in operation. Equipment malfunctions, faults, leaks, noise, etc and reporting to the related responsible.\nCommissioning assistance for cleaning preparation, inspection, tools, and spare parts.\nChecking of availability of tools required for erection and maintenance.\nKeeps records of all work completed and completion of \"Action Lists\"\nMust be a good communicator. Able to give instructions in an efficient and effective way to his workforce.\nLiaises with other discipline foremen to ensure the optimum utilization of available work, with the overall objective of successful completion of the project.\nFamiliar with all Company Safety and QA/QC procedures and strictly enforces them amongst the GEV / subcontractor workforce.\nIdentifies, formulates and implements \"on - the - job\" training programs for the workforce under his responsibility in coordination with the supervisor.\nSupervise and/or perform mechanical tasks related to disassembly & reassembly, functional clearance checks , alignment check of all rotating equipment and including turbine shaft line.\nAbility to use and train his team on all type of accurate measurement tools.\nEnsure work permits and checks are completed to carry work out safely.\nRequest equipment, materials and consumables as required with in limits of authority in coordination with the Turbine engineer.\nShould have experience on lifting and rigging .\nMonitor the use of materials and care of equipment to minimize waste and damage.\nSupport Site Manager to Maintain a variety of files and records (e.g. time sheets, inventory, work orders, labor/material estimates, equipment, manuals, etc.)\nKnowledge of Rotating machines preservation during erection and assembly phase.\nIdentification of mechanical equipment parts in package list and request as per site erection schedule.\nAssuring the quality of execution within the erection scope of the stipulated guidelines and the applicable instructions.\nObservation of the Regulations for Field Assembly and Commissioning Staff or the Site Instructions, respectively.\nRegular reports on his field of expertise according to the specifications\nRegistration and forwarding of non-conformities .Report beyond the original scope of work in form of non-conformance reports (NCR).\nRead the drawing and preparing work sequence.\nCheck the alignment and other parameters of turbine.\nAssistance to the commissioning group to trouble shooting during commissioning/synchronization.\nInspect the various clearances measured in erected equipment’s.\nGive necessary correction to various activities coming under erection.\nDeploy man power for various activities of erection.\nMaintain all the documentation of erection equipment. \nRequired Qualifications\nBachelors of Engineering in Mechanical with overall Experience gained on the job during professional life - 10-12 years\n3 to 4 years’ experience in the execution of FGD / Power projects for power plants\nDesirable (NICE TO HAVE)\nManagement experience of medium size multi-cultural technical team\nM & E Erection & Commissioning experience\nBehavioral and/or Technical Know-how\nFeel responsible and lead by example\nAbility to organize his/her work to achieve the required results\nAbility to delegate, control and assume responsibility\nCommitted to his/her responsibilities\nAbility to lead and motivate a design team\nCommunication and team building faculties.\nAdditional Information\nRelocation Assistance Provided: Yes\n#LI-Remote -
