We are committed to our customers’ success in wind, offering a broad portfolio of products and services that make renewables the energy of choice for a cleaner future.\nJob Description\n Roles and Responsibilities\nAs an Engineer - Mechanical Engineeringfor Onshore Wind you will:\nDesign engineering solutions for mechanical structural parts (Bedplate castings, Low speed Rotor lock and Shipping fixtures etc) of a wind turbine.\nCollaborate with other engineering teams within GE Onshore Wind to coordinate interfaces between mechanical systems and components.\nDevelop engineering drawings and specification requirements for sourcing of wind turbine components.\nCollaborate and develop technical risk assessment and execute validation test plans to mitigate risks.\nAssist in issue resolution of mechanical components for fielded turbines.\nSupport technical problem solving in the team.\nCollaboration with System, Sub-System, and component Engineers to integrate components into overall turbine design while satisfying turbine and interface requirements.\nCollaborate and Own risk identification and mitigation process including dFMEA and design verification.\nEnsure quality of new and revised drawings, BoMs and specifications applying all GE and industry processes, standards and best practices\n Required Qualifications\nBachelor/ Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering.\nMinimum of 2 years product design and development experience of handling Bedplate and bolted joint PBMs of wind turbine castings\nMinimum of 2 years' knowledge of CAD (preferably Unigraphics NX 3D-CAD), CAE (preferably Ansys) and PLM tools\nAbility and willingness to travel up to 20% of time\nDesired Characteristics\nHighly motivated, self-starter, energetic, positive, flexible in changing environments.\nAbility to demonstrate a structured approach to problem solving, learning agility\nExcellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple terms\nStrong interpersonal skills, ability to work in project teams in an international environment\nFamiliarity with Finite Element Analysis and CAD software\nExcellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills\nAdditional Information\nGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
