GE Vernova is an American energy company created in April 2024 when General Electric split into three, taking the power, wind and electrification businesses. It builds and services gas turbines that generate a substantial share of the world's electricity, onshore and offshore wind turbines, grid equipment including transformers and high-voltage transmission, and nuclear technology through GE Hitachi and its BWRX-300 small modular reactor. Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the company sits at the centre of two simultaneous demand shocks: the electrification of transport and industry, and the electricity requirements of large-scale artificial intelligence data centres.

  • Collaborate with technical support teams to resolve complex issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain close coordination with site teams and clearly communicate technical information through reports, presentations, and verbal updates.

  • Investigate and report performance anomalies at both control and design levels to support operational excellence.

  • Coordinate planned and unplanned grid outages, ensuring minimal operational disruption and compliance with safety protocols.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, or 3+ years relevant work experience in the wind sector.

  • Proven on-site technical experience in wind turbine generators, including the ability to read electrical schematics and provide technical support to field technicians.

  • Proficient in SCADA systems, MS Office, and other relevant digital tools

  • Willingness to travel, mainly for training purposes.

  • Skilled in reporting, documentation management, and report management.

  • Fluent in English (spoken & written). Spanish is a plus.

What will make you stand out

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in control room operations, preferably within the wind power sector; offshore wind, commissioning, MarkVIe, and remote operator experience are considered a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving, risk assessment, and analytical skills, with the ability to respond effectively to both routine and emergency situations.

  • Availability to work in a 24/7/365 rotating shift system and be on-call as needed.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, multicultural environments.
