You will have a complete life cycle experience from initial concept development through detailed design, implementation, and upgrades, working with over five hundred global engineers with a single purpose; deliver the cleanest, most efficient power to our customers with the Operability needed in today’s dynamic power grid.Job Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nThe successful candidate will be responsible to:\nLead the team that builds and sells Operator Training Simulators (OTS) for sale to our Gas Power customers.\nDrive strategy and process that enhances project execution that meets and exceeds customers’ expectations.\nGuide the development of hardware/software platforms for simulator delivery.\nIdentify and prioritize new features for the OTS product.\nPartner with Product Management and Requisition leadership to develop new features for OTS.\nDrive Lean thinking to provide high fidelity, easy to use OTS capability for a broad range of Gas Power customers.\nGuide the development of standard work to enable delivery of high-quality OTS.\nIdentify and drive OTS improvements and new features back into simulation and modeling standards.\nDevelop inquiry to order and marketing strategies to improve product sales.\nDevelop an OTS service business model to capture more revenue from existing customers.\nDevelop metrics to track OTD of projects.\nSupport/Lead customer training simulator site acceptance testing at customer facility.\nSupport Resolution of OTS PAC cases.\nSite travel to support sales, installation and upgrades. Less than 10% of year.\nRequired Qualifications\nMaster of Science (MS) in Engineering, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering.\nWorking knowledge of ITO and OTR processes associated with Operator Training Simulators.\nMinimum 15 years of experience in: Power Plant Operations, System Design, Operability, Performance Engineering, Simulation/Modeling or Controls Engineering of any the following Combined Cycle Power Plant or Carbon Capture Plant Components, in any combination.\nFamiliarity with gas turbine, steam turbine, and power plant systems.\nGood understanding of power plant operations and controls.\nExperience with transient simulation and simulation software packages such as Easy5, Simulink, Modelon\nFORTRAN, C/C++, Python Scripting and/or Java scripting programming languages.\nStrong thermodynamics engineering background\nDesired Characteristics\nStrong leadership skills, keeping team focused and innovating through dynamic business cycle.\nSystem Integration mindset for meeting customer demands\nExcellent communication skills with ability to sell technology through simple and clear messaging.\nLean mindset, acting on feedback, driving productivity initiatives for business results and personal engineering satisfaction.
