The project manager is the interface between customers and the participating GE Vernova functions executing customizations, modifications and upgrades to the wind farms, coordinating the flow of information and responsible for contract administration while adhering to specifications and deliverablesJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nProject Planning & Execution\nLead wind farm upgrade projects from contract award through commissioning support and project closeout.\nDevelop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.\nMonitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address schedule, cost, or quality issues.\nEnsure project deliverables meet contractual obligations and customer expectations.\nCustomer & Stakeholder Management\nServe as the primary customer interface throughout the project lifecycle.\nLead project meetings, progress reviews, and executive status updates.\nBuild strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.\nManage customer requests, contract changes, and issue resolution.\nCross-Functional Coordination\nCoordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, logistics, quality, field services, and finance.\nEnsure timely delivery of , components, software and documentation.\nSupport factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance activities, and commissioning coordination.\nFacilitate communication between manufacturing facilities and project sites.\nContract & Commercial Management\nUnderstand project contracts, technical specifications, and commercial requirements.\nManage scope changes, claims, variations, and contractual correspondence.\nTrack project costs, forecasts, invoicing milestones, and cash flow.\nSupport commercial negotiations when required.\nRisk & Quality Management\nIdentify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.\nEnsure compliance with company quality management systems and customer specifications.\nPromote continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practices.\nSupport internal and external audits as needed.\nHealth, Safety & Environmental (HSE)\nPromote a strong safety culture across all project activities.\nEnsure compliance with applicable HSE regulations and company policies.\nCoordinate with site teams to support safe turbine delivery, installation, and commissioning.\nReporting\nPrepare weekly and monthly project status reports.\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including schedule, budget, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.\nEscalate significant project risks and issues to senior management with recommended actions.\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or a related field (OR High School Diploma / GED and 5 years of relevant technical or military experience.). \nMinimum of 5 years of project management experience in renewable energy, wind energy, heavy industrial equipment, power generation, or a related industry.\nAbility and willingness to domestically travel 20%.\nAbility and willingness to work at times outside standard business hours to support customer or project requirements.\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities\nProject Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.\nExperience managing large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects.\nStrong understanding of contract administration and commercial project management.\nExcellent leadership and organizational skills.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management abilities.\nExperience coordinating international suppliers and cross-functional teams.\nKnowledge of wind turbine technology, manufacturing, logistics, and installation processes.\nProficiency with Microsoft Project, Oracle ERP systems, and Microsoft Office.\nStrong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.\nFinancial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.\nExperience with utility-scale onshore or offshore wind projects.\nFamiliarity with turbine transportation, heavy-lift operations, and site construction activities.\nKnowledge of grid connection, commissioning, and renewable energy regulations.\nExperience working with EPC contractors, developers, utilities, or independent power producers (IPPs).\nWorking Conditions\nCombination of office and wind project site environments.\nKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)\nOn-time project delivery\nBudget adherence\nCustomer satisfaction\nSafety performance\nQuality performance\nSchedule performance\nSuccessful management of project risks and change orders\nProject profitability and margin performance\nGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
