If you find precision satisfying and uncertainty worth solving, this role was built for your strengths.\nJob Description\nWhat You Will Do\n Build and own bid-stage schedules - develop fully scoped, resource- and cost-loaded schedules aligned to the Bill of Materials (BOM) / Statement of Work (SOW), with no scope gaps and full compliance with DCMA (Defense Contract Management Agency) 14-point health criteria.\n Drive probabilistic analysis - apply three-point estimating and quantitative risk analysis (including Monte Carlo / QRA methods) to produce a defensible, risk-adjusted cost and schedule position that informs bid/no-bid and pricing decisions.\n Maintain bi-directional traceability - link schedule activities to RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) risk references and maintain estimated time impacts throughout the bid phase, ensuring no data is lost at handover.\nLead the ITO-to-execution transition - validate the bid schedule against final contracted scope, support formal baseline approval, and hand over the baselined schedule and associated RAID data to the Project Controller with a clear, structured briefing.\n Support change control during execution - re-engage when material schedule variance arises to construct What-If scenarios, quantify critical path impact, float consumption, and Extension of Time (EoT) entitlement without modifying the approved baseline.\nWhat You Bring\nYou are someone who combines analytical rigour with strong communication skills - equally comfortable interrogating a schedule logic network and presenting risk findings to bid leadership.\nRequired\nSignificant experience building and maintaining complex, resource-loaded project schedules using enterprise tools such as Planisware,PrimaveraP6(P6), or equivalent.\nStrong working knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) / Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) development and alignment between planning tools and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) / financial systems such as SAP.\nPractical experience with schedule health diagnostics, including DCMA 14-point analysis.\nSolid understanding of probabilistic risk techniques - three-point estimating, Expected Monetary Value (EMV), and Monte Carlo / Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) methods - and their application to contingency and margin decisions.\nUnderstanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and how schedule integrity underpins performance measurement baseline (PMB) accuracy.\nDemonstrated ability to engage effectively across Commercial, Risk, Cost Engineering, and project leadership teams.\nMust hold, or be eligible to obtain, SC Clearance\nPreferred\nExperience working in a bid or ITO (Invitation to Offer) environment within complex systems or capital projects delivery.\nFamiliarity with change management processes, including What-If scenario modelling and the distinction between rebaselining and re-time-phasing.\nEducation\nA formal qualification in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is beneficial, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.\nWhy GE Vernova\nGE Vernova employees rise to the challenge of building a world that works.
