Job Description Summary
About This RoleEvery major power project runs on a supply chain that has to work - on time, on budget, and without surprises. As a Project Sourcing Manager at GE Vernova, you sit at the center of that execution. You'll lead all procurement and supply chain activity for your assigned projects, acting as the single point of accountability for sourcing from handover through delivery. You'll connect engineering, finance, commercial, and supplier teams into a coherent, well-managed whole - and your work will directly shape whether projects are delivered successfully.
This is a hybrid role based out of one of our key Gas Power hubs: Schenectady, NY; Atlanta, GA; or Greenville, SC. We're looking for candidates who are local to - or willing to relocate near - one of these locations.
This role is part of the sourcing organization and works in close alignment with the Project Manager (PM) and/or Project Director (PD).
Job Description
What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end supply chain execution for your assigned project scope, including equipment and spare parts for Balance of Plant (BOP), Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), and Main Steam/Start-up Desuperheater (MSD) systems.
- Define and implement a project-specific sourcing and procurement strategy aligned with contract requirements, financing restrictions, commodity strategies, and approved supplier panels - working closely with the Procurement Tendering Manager (PTM) to review and refine the purchasing approach throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive procurement schedule alignment by reviewing the baseline project timeline and partnering with the project scheduler to optimize sourcing milestones and on-time delivery.
- Manage supplier performance and compliance, ensuring documentation (shipping records, manufacturing reports, certifications), quality monitoring, and expediting processes are in place and tracked against key metrics including Estimate at Completion (EAC) and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
- Lead cross-functional procurement reviews with project stakeholders, manage the vendor list, support contract and claim management activities, and serve as the primary contact for all commercial, legal, and administrative procurement matters on the project.
- Ensure a smooth handover from the tender phase to project execution, verify procurement budgets with the Project Finance Manager, and maintain compliance with applicable quality and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements throughout.
