What you’ll do
- Region Logistics Leader in developing strategies to achieve the lowest optimized delivered logistics cost & cycle, while balancing business and customer needs.
- Lead team of Logistics Specialists to Plan and Execute inbound and/or outbound global logistics function across the value streams of the Gas Power business.
- For Outbound projects, oversee portfolio logistics strategies to optimize cycle cost within baseline EAC.
- Responsible for Region EAC (Estimated cost at completion)
- Maintain Region logistics risks and opportunities enable proactive upstream and downstream influence (Factory/Sourcing/Projects/Repairs/Parts) in leakage mitigation and savings opportunities.
- Identify and implement best cost solutions regarding transport mode, in conjunction with mode specialist, route / carrier selection, container utilization and consolidations, for ocean, air and over the road freight, material flow improvement.
- Develop strong relationships with freight forwarders, Customs brokers and carriers to resolve problems/issues.
- Assist in execution of regional transport programs. Assist with internal/external audits, record keeping and reporting, as needed.
- Assist in managing shipment and custom activities for import services.
- Assist in the negotiation of domestic freight contracts.
- Remain accountable for all defined KPIs and their trends. Understand the drivers, facilitate the related reviews and have the necessary actions, timelines.
- Responsible for the quality related escalations, coordinate the CoPQs, RCAs with the proper logistics function. Recommend solutions to avoid of repeatability.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
- Demonstrated expertise of international logistics experience: transportation, customs, supply chain principles, geographical concerns, free trade agreements, accreditives
- Fluent English AND Hungarian language skills
