As a Senior Application Engineer at GE Vernova, you will be the bridge between our cutting-edge BWRX-300 nuclear technology and the communities ready to embrace it. In this pivotal role, you will be our technical face for new nuclear power plant projects in Poland and across Europe, guiding customers through the critical pre-contract phase. You will not just be designing solutions; you will be laying the groundwork for a sustainable energy legacy.\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership: Lead the evaluation of customer, country, and site-specific requirements for potential projects, ensuring our BWRX-300 standard design is effectively adapted to meet unique project needs.\nStrategic Collaboration: Coordinate site layouts, external hazard screenings, and preliminary heat balances by bridging efforts between GE Vernova engineering teams, external partners, and our customers.\nProject Delivery Planning: Own the development of delivery schedules, cost estimates, and project responsibility frameworks, ensuring technical alignment from design through commercial operation.\nCustomer Advocacy: Represent our engineering, fuel, and services expertise in high-level customer meetings, using your commercial acumen to translate complex technical requirements into compelling value propositions.\nMarket Intelligence: Synthesize customer development strategies and competitive data to inform our product offerings, working closely with Sales and Product Line Management to maximize our competitiveness.\nTechnical Education: Act as a subject matter expert, presenting our technology and solutions to customers to build trust and understanding of our capabilities.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) major.\nSignificant experience in Application or Sales Engineering, Construction Project Management, or similar large-scale project management with a strong customer-facing focus.\nExcellent proficiency in English and Polish (both written and spoken, including technical terminology).\nAbility and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily within Poland.\nPreferred\nField experience working on new nuclear power plant projects.\nKnowledge of nuclear power systems, controls, equipment, and international nuclear regulatory frameworks.\nProven ability to influence stakeholders and build effective networks to drive project efficiency.\nA formal education and subsequent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a STEM field is nice to have, but we are most interested in your total experience and professional achievements.\nEssential Eligibility\nYou are a resident of Poland with unrestricted legal authorization to work in the country.\nThis position requires access to information subject to U.S. Export Control Laws.
