The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nConducts customer trainings at GVH and customer sites for installed I&C equipment including Nuclear Instrumentation (SRM/IRM/WRNM/PRNM).\nSupports BWR Fleet with emergent engineering requests and testing to support problem identification and resolution.\nSupports direct communication with customers as single point of contact for rapid issue resolution using their expert knowledge and engaging in correct internal resources and guiding the team to resolution.\nDeveloping specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of legacy technical information in own area. Contributes towards strategy and policy development and ensures delivery within area of responsibility.\nHas in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.\nApplies technical judgment to solve moderately complex problems within product and operational environments. Identifies opportunities to innovate on established solutions. Actively cultivates influence and negotiation skills to drive initiatives forward within the organization.\nRequired Qualifications:\nCurrent or previous Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) License or certification.\n5+ years of experience in a Senior Reactor Operator role, technical training capacity, or an equivalent position.\n5+ years of direct experience working at a utility or within a military (preferably Navy) branch in an I&C capacity.\n3+ years of hands-on experience with Analog I&C technology.\nOR\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical field.\n8+ years of experience in engineering or technical training within an I&C or similar environment.\n5+ years of direct experience working at a utility or within a military (preferably Navy) branch in an I&C capacity.\n3+ years of hands-on experience with Analog I&C technology.\nEligibility Requirements:\nThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S Government.\nThe preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC. If not already local, relocation assistance can be provided.\nThis opportunity could see 10 to 15% travel.\nOpportunity is eligible for a Hybrid work format (3 days onsite, 2 days offsite).\nDesired Characteristics:\nMaster's degree from an accredited university or college.\nReactor Operator/Senior Reactor Operator License.\nExperience with NUMAC systems.\nCurrent or Past Lead site engineer at utility for I&C Systems engineering.\nExperience in Engineering, Operations, Maintenance at early style BWR/PWR (BWR 3 or 4).\nMulti-site BWR I&C experience and knowledge.\nNaval shipyard experience (Engineering Nuclear Test Operations/Engineering Systems Test).\nExperience with Analog to Digital I&C upgrades.\nStrong oral and written communication skills.\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.\nDemonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.\nAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programs.\nEstablished project management skills.\nThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
