The selected candidate will be part of a strong engineering team and provide the technical leadership aligned with the India region.This role also involves partnering with global P&Ls for effective planning and execution of global projects; having close focus on quality of deliverables and in developing the best-in-class capability at India business across Marine segment.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities\nResponsible for leading and coordinating technical aspects of larger projects with complex architecture that have huge impact on the business.\nProduce designs, specifications and documentation for systems and supporting equipment, including generators, switchboards, transformers, converters, motors, energy storage, cabling etc.\nExecute design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements\nDrive lean methodology to provide optimum technical solutions for the projects.\nTo demonstrate domain expertise in Marine to provide consulting solutions to the lead engineers in projects as well as to the customers.\nSupport the leadership team in the development of technology road maps in response to future business opportunities and strategy, while providing direction and a domain process viewpoint to the Engineering teams.\nTo work closely with ITO team to provide oversight and reviews of deliverables in the proposal/bid phase.\nTo work closely with CTH team to analyze the technical proposals and identify the risks along with the mitigation actions without compromising on the customer expectations.\nTo support sales team in providing technical presentations to the customers for winning larger orders thereby enhancing the business and also to review customer requirements and highlighting differences/gaps between those requirements and GE capabilities.\nTo work closely with project management in increasing the project margins.\nInterface with Sourcing and Purchasing to ensure suppliers products are meeting specifications.\nTo support engineering team in validating the key deliverables in the projects to ensure the quality.\nTo work closely with managers in hiring the right resources, filling the skill-set gaps and developing the talents.\nTo work closely with customers to resolve their ongoing issues, perform RCA’s and implement corrective actions for a better customer experience.\nKeeping up to date with Industry trends and developments.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related field with 15 years of experience.\nExcellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.\nStrong leadership and organizational abilities.\nWillingness to build professional relationships with colleagues and customers.\nBasic and detailed engineering for Marine / Oil&Gas project execution.\nDesired Characteristics\nStrong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems. \nAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
