We have a flexible approach to working operating a hybrid system.\nAs a Project Engineering Manager you will be managing, supervising co-ordinating and leading the engineering activities of the project in line with the project’s safety, quality, time delivery, and cost criteria, you’ll be the technical lead of electrical design and engineering of large energy projects - including preparing specifications, leading on deviations and clarifications, attending FATs and SATs.\nAs a Project Engineering Manager, you’ll be co-ordinating design activities, managing the project design budget, overseeing the design change process, supervising, and coordinating engineering activities required to execute the project, whether done in house or by our delivery partners, and ensure technical co-ordination of the Grid Solutions Project.\nJob Description\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nDefining the scope and engineering deliverables in coordination with responsible functions / disciplines. \nManage global time schedule of concerned engineering activities, check coherency of links between engineering activities and other project functions activities (procurement, construction, commissioning) and organise follow up of critical activities of the project or of your discipline.\nPlan and manage delivery time of technical interfaces with your work package, put in place exchange interface sheets with partners, customer, and third-party contractors.\nEnsure on-time delivery of design to stakeholders with suitable quality including Partner documents.\nFor large & complex projects support Project Engineering Director and Project I&I manager in the engineering change management.\nLead & coordinate design teams - you’ll be supported by Primary, Secondary and Civil Designers.\nFollow the engineering budget and identify potential savings and highlight to the Project Manager all instances requiring additional budget.\nParticipate and contribute to the project multidisciplinary design reviews according to the EMH procedures and per the project strategy.\nManage scope or design changes & prepare related claims and VO to be approved by Project Engineering Director or Project Manager.\nAnalyse customer technical requirements, prepare and or consolidate clause by clause analysis and ensure compliance to Customer requirements through Technical Queries, identify, track, manage potential change.\nValidate design throughout customer acceptance.\nEnsure that Management of return status of project documentation internal or external (approved, comments, resubmit, rejected) is performed for your work package.\nPrepare or review technical specifications and supplier’s documents to enable procurement of materials and plant detailed design.\nCheck effectiveness of design against delivery of contract requirements within project budget and look for global cost optimisation in all design phase and mainly during basic design.\nRequired Qualifications:\nEngineering degree level or equivalent education/experience\nExperience of Engineering activities as lead engineer in EPC type environment.\nSuccessful experience in project technical management in a multi-disciplinary team’s context including multiple interfaces and with products coming from several countries.\nDesired Characteristics:\nKnowledge of the Transmission or Distribution industry is essential.\nAwareness to local regulations & customer practices in the country of operation is key to the role.\nAbility to coordinate multi projects & remote multi-functional teams with clear communication and leadership.\nAbout Us:\nGE Vernova is a world leader in the energy solutions market with a portfolio of energy businesses across the globe.
