In Stafford, you will report directly to the UK PEM team leader, contributing to a dynamic and diverse community of PEMs.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge HVDC technology, collaborate across global teams, and grow within an organization contributing to the energy transition.\nJob Description\nAs a Senior Project Engineering Manager, you will lead the successful execution of engineering activities for complex HVDC projects, ensuring alignment with project goals in terms of schedule, cost, quality, and technical requirements.\nOwn the end-to-end delivery of engineering activities of the HVDC Solution Line scope of works on large EPC projects, ensuring alignment with schedule, budget, and technical requirements.\nLead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring that deliverables are integrated, consistent, and aligned with project milestones.\nAct as the technical lead within the project, driving decision-making and managing interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and customers.\nEstablish and maintain effective communication with customers, partners, and suppliers on technical topics, ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and trust.\nAnticipate and manage risks by maintaining an up-to-date risk register, driving mitigation plans, and enforcing a structured change management process.\nEnsure high standards of quality and compliance, applying internal processes, safety (EHS) requirements, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle.\nRepresent engineering in project governance, providing clear reporting on progress, issues, and KPIs, and contributing to key project reviews and decisions.\nSupport site teams during execution, ensuring a smooth transition from design to construction and commissioning, and resolving technical issues efficiently.\nMentor and empower project engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.\nCarry our regular and thorough reviews of the progress and delivery of the HVDC Solution Line scope of work assessing all aspects of the project, including time, cost, quality, and risks.\nDesired Profile and Experience\nEngineering degree in Electrical, Power Systems, or a related field, i.e.: Electronics, Automation\nStrong experience as Project Engineering Manager or similar role in EPC environments: Energy, Transmission, Distribution, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or similar industries\nA minimum of 2 projects delivered, managing medium (100M$) to large size projects (500M$+).\nStrong project management skills and solid experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders, ideally across international and multicultural environments.\nStrong understanding of engineering project lifecycles, risk management, technical interfaces, and configuration/change control.\nExcellent communication and leadership skills: able to influence, align teams, and represent engineering with confidence in internal and customer meetings.\nFluent in English.\nComfortable with occasional travel (Europe and internationally) for project needs.\nHVDC experience is a strong asset, but not a prerequisite.
