You will architect the future of Power, Wind, and Electrification by driving cutting-edge systems integration, modeling, and simulation. From shaping data center power strategy to steering high-impact roadmaps, you will orchestrate collaborations with the DOE, DOD, top-tier universities, and global industry partners. This is your chance to pioneer the next generation of reliable, efficient, and stable energy systems that will power the world.Job Description\nEssential Responsibilities\nEvaluatingand proposingdesign power generation architectures on an application-specific basis, considering factors such as system performance, and reliabilityby performing studiesand simulations to validatethe system’s response and performance.\n\nDevelop and maintainreliability models using BlockSIMto validatesystem performance, availability, and maintainability for complex integrated power solutions (e.g., hybrid systems, BESS, and industrial electrical gear).\n\nLead equipment coordination modeling between teams to ensure maximumuptime, system resilienceand operational efficiency for “inside the fence line” power generation assets (including natural gas turbines, HV & LV electrical gear, stability equipment etc.)\n\nTranslate key customer availability, mean time between failures (MTBF) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) expectations into concrete electrical configuration and protective relaying requirements.\n\nSupportequipmentLCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) and operational reliability requirements. Translate customer reliability goals into actionable engineering design inputs for reference architectures.\n\nPerform reliability-centered simulations to derisk integration, ensuring consistency with industry standards and reference architectures.\n\nLead onsite generation report definition and gather necessary information to support customer meetings and final report submittal.\n\nLead business unit coordinator for on-goingcustomer projects and proposals.\n\nSupporting & Leadingcross-functional efforts to perform coordination studies and requirements testing for the entire power system, working closely with internal stakeholderswithin Consulting Services and across GE Vernova’sbusiness units, includingthose inengineering, sales, and product development, to drive the growth of GE Vernova'spower systems capabilities.\n\nDeep technical understandingof power generation system reliability metrics, EPC project integrationwith the ability to supportand interpret these studies to inform system design and optimization decisions.\n\nStandardizing solutions by developing reference architectures to certain repeatable applications and subsequentlyapplying those architectures to customer projects ensuring consistency and best practices across all power systems initiatives.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in engineeringor businessfrom an accredited university or college.\n\nAt least 12years of professional experience in engineering, project or plant reliabilityor a relatedfunction.\n\n5+ years of experience in engineering or technical consulting, including at least 2 years of experience leading teams to deliver high-value technical or strategic solutions.\n\n5+ years of experience in professional roles requiring the development and delivery of technical presentations, with at least 3 years of experience engaging directly with internal or external C-suite/executive leadership.\n\n5+ years of experience managing complex engineering or policy initiatives, with a documented history of delivering at least 3 major projects on-time and within budget constraints.\n\n5+ years of experience analyzing or navigating government structures, global energy policy, and power market mechanics, with demonstrated ability to assess the macroeconomic impacts of regulatory changes.\n\n5+ years of experience with “inside-the-fence” power generation technologies, specifically in the application, design, or maintenance of gas generators, BESS, STATCOMs, HV/LV electrical gear, and fuel cell technologies.\n\n3+ years of hands-on experience performing formal reliability studies, including FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), and RAM (Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability) analysis.\n\n3+ years of direct experience usingBlockSim for reliability modeling. Experience with MAPS or MARS preferred.\n\nAbility and willingness to travel a minimum of 25% of the time, as required.\n\nDesiredQualifications:\nAdvanced degree in electrical, mechanicalor power systems engineering from an accredited university or college.\n\nAbility to lead, motivateand influence individuals and teams.\n\nAt least 5-7years of professional experience in engineering, plant management, product managementor a related function\n\nDirect experience with prime-power or continuous-duty data center generation assets (islanded, islanded to grid connected or grid connected).\n\nDeep understanding of electrical selectivity, protective relay coordination, PLC/SCADA systems.\n\nGeneralunderstanding of technical regulatory standards and grid code compliance evaluation, testingand reporting. Familiarity with Data Center Tier Classification standards (Uptime Institute) and IEEE/ANSI electrical standards.\n\nAbility and willingness to travel25% of the time, as required.\n\nAdditional Information\nGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
