All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the user's needs.The System Engineer - Power Quality is a technically strong and commercially aware engineering role responsible for the selection, sizing, configuration and delivery of complex power quality solutions. The role spans the full project lifecycle - from initial customer engagement and proposal development through to technical delivery and continuous improvement - working closely with business verticals, platform engineering, supply chain and GE Vernova's global engineering community.\nJob Description\nEssential Responsibilities\nPerform the selection, sizing, and configuration of power quality based systems (like rotating stabilizer, STATCOM, etc.,) and related equipment. \nSelection and sizing of MV/ LV VSD based system on Oil & Gas will be an added advantage.\nPrepare and review technical documentation, calculations, drawings, and proposal inputs.\nApply deep knowledge on key components like VSD, SFC, Transformer, Filters, Motor and other power system equipment's.\nDevelop and review system SLD, protection SLD, layout preparation for large system projects.\nPerform System design and Analysis for VSD/SFC, power quality solutions across a range of industrial and utility applications\nSupport Business Verticals in creating and reviewing (in conjunction with the leadership team) systems solutions as part of the ITO/OTR process, ensuring that solutions are technically fit for purpose and that technical risk is understood and managed with contingencies identified.\nAnalyze customer's contract, prepare specifications to vendors and internal stake holders \nPrepare technical documentation as per contractual requirements, vendor documentation review\nPrepare high quality proposal inputs, technical write-ups and solution configurations that differentiate GE Vernova's offerings in competitive tenders\nIdentify technical risks and put in place the mitigation plan\nReview solutions developed and identify opportunities for improvement of process, system, or equipment\nSupport the implementation of agreed process and technology improvements identified through project experience and lessons learned\nEnsure strict compliance with all company and customer’s EHS policies and procedures\nIdentify and propose improvements in processes, tools, system solutions and technologies, rolling out improvements when agreed with leadership team\nFoster relationship with other GE Vernova business entities to maximize the benefits of synergies\nLiaise with Platform Engineering, Technology and Value Engineering, and Supply Chain as appropriate to support the project and the business\nLiaise with other GE Vernova businesses, platform verticals, supply chain, sub-contractors and suppliers as appropriate to support the project and the business\nDrive lean mind set to provide optimum technical solutions for the projects\nQualifications / Requirements\nMasters / Bachelor’s in Electrical from reputed College/University\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in Project/ Design Engineering for projects based on Power Quality/ VSDS for Industry /Marine / Oil & Gas / Power domains\nKnowledge and application of International Standards\nAbility to adapt and multitask with project/application engineers\nAnalytical and innovative approach in problem solving\nProficiency in MS Office applications\nPLM, Primavera experience are added advantage\nDesired Characteristics\nInvolve with the team in matrix environment for successful execution of project\nWillingness to learn with passion\nBe self-motivated, creative and a team player, with ability to come up with unique solutions to complex problems\nCapable of working with multi-disciplined international team with good personal organization skills\nAbility to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales\nStrong oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills\nQuickly identify best practices and apply them within the team\nStrong prioritizing and time management skills\nWilling to travel on short notice within base country and overseas for short/long term assignments\nAbout Us\nGE Vernova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
